What laptop will work for the Sims 3?

I'm looking for a new laptop and along with other things, I want it to be able to run the Sims 3 and the Sims 3 Pets well.

I was just looking at the Vaio E series. If I ordered it, it would come out like this:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2450M processor (2.50GHz / 3.10GHz with Turbo Boost)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 410M (1GB) dedicated graphics
Hard Drive: 640 GB (5400rpm) hard drive
Memory: 8GB (4GB x2) DDR3-SDRAM-1333

I was also just looking at an Acer Aspire at Best Buy:

What do you think?

Please help me out!  I almost know nothing about computers.  Don't know a thing about graphic cards.

Unfortunately I can't help with the one you mentioned, but I can say that I run the game on an HP Pavilion g6 and it works well. I also believe I have 1GB Dedicated Graphics with a Radeon graphics card. I can't max my graphics settings, but my laptop can handle relatively high graphics settings.

Yes that is the right link!
I remember looking at that thread before.  I know it's from almost a year ago, so I was just wondering what laptops are out now that I should look for.  Or how much memory, what graphic card to look for and stuff like that.

I'm looking at the requirements for running Sims 3 Pets and the laptop you mentioned in your first post (Vaio E series) looks to be pretty powerful.  However, I don't know if the graphics card is sufficient.  Electronic Arts states that a Nvidia GeForce 6 series or better is required.  You listed a Nvidia GeForce 410M, which I'm guessing would be a 4 series.

I'm going to see if Carl has time to come by this thread and help you out.  He's the computer expert around here.
