The  moon and sun in Lunar Lakes are really pretty.  I couldn't resist this shot.

On a side note, I was reading on the official forum, where someone brought Bella Goth back to life.  EA has made her a zombie and did a really good job.  I thought it was interesting.

That sounds awesome about Bella Goth! :o Mum has said I can get this world and Showtime for my 16th birthday, as well as my new computer so yey! This will be the best birthday yet. :D

One thing I'm enjoying about Lunar Lakes is all the names from the other towns.  I've seen Alto, Landgraab, Sekemoto, Langerak, Hart, and Goode.  Probably more, but I don't remember.

Isn't that awesome? Must be part of the storyline about how the families moved there in the future and these current sims must be the descendants. :D

Bella being in the graveyard already is seriously gonna mess with this alleged timeline people are desperately trying to construct lol.

Not necessarily. Wasn't Bella abducted by aliens? Then technically she might have ended up on another planet/moon. Or it could just be one of those things where they just put her there for the sake of it.

Hmmm.. Well, Sunset Valley was supposed to be set 50 years before the Sims 2, so it could actually make sense to say that later on, when Sunset Valley become Pleasantview, as Sims wiki says, Bella was abducted and taken here, which is set in the future of wherever Sims 3 is set. (Confused, yet? ;D) Hmm.. I just realised my mistake in making the storyline of my legacy say that my founder grow up in Strangetown and then moved to Sunset Valley. ::)

People are making these judgements based on relative age of the characters in the town, however technology levels paint an entirely different picture.  For example, flat screen televisions are a newer technology, yet weren't available in versions that are considered to be later than others (because that technology didn't exist when those versions were released).  EA has never really given a specific timeline themselves, and I don't think there was one intended.  They are simply revisiting popular characters from different versions.  ;)

With the above in mind (and assuming that all of these towns likely existed in one form or another well before you start playing them), who's to say that your storyline is mistaken?  :D

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

I'm the same way. I love the shout outs to the old towns. The domes are awesome that way also. Oh and has anyone noticed the abnormal amount of community gardens in this place? They're everywhere.

I've been playing Lunar Lakes and it's definitely one of my favorites.  I can't seem to stop taking pictures of the sky and landscape. ;D  I've made an "alien" of my own, Arguillia Moons,  and are really enjoying playing her.  She's going to be my resurrecter of the graveyard, as soon as she gets her skills up.  On the sims 3 forum someone posted a picture of Bella after they resurrected her and she looks like a zombie. :o  It seems the developers did this on purpose to make the resurrected look desicated like they've been in the ground for awhile.  But I figure hey, that's why they made CAS. ;D

I keep taking landscape shots, too. Here are two of my favorites:

By the way, I'm pretty sure Mia James is pregnant at the beginning. Her son aged up to teen a day before my teen did.

As soon as I finish up with a complete reinstall, this will probably be the only world I ever play in again! It's just so unique and beautiful. Definitely the best world that EA has designed, in my opinion. It's nice to have the world not so crowded up with all the businesses, the little rabbit hole entranceways are a great idea and totally fit the theme of the world. I'm so excited to play in this world, and especially to build in this world, because I can finally build super-modern, oddly shaped futuristic houses that I never end up finishing in other worlds because they look so out of place.

I also want to attempt an immortal dynasty here. I've started the dynasty challenge several times in other towns but I always get bored by Generation 2 or 3 because, well, the towns are just too boring to look at for 50-odd sim weeks! Does anyone have any suggestions for male dynasty spouses, who have good traits, artistic/cooking/fishing/gardening skill points, or expensive items in inventory? Or of any female townies who could be moved in at the start of the game to help out with photos, portraits, sculptures, etc?
I'm loving this town!
