Great pictures, Saltypaws, ArianaJade,  Zapkid and Ricalynn!

Maybe they didn't do Memories of Bridgeport because they couldn't fit high rises under the domes.

I just let the Tree of Prosperity sit overnight and it changed shape all night long.  When I picked the fruit, it was blue for Fruit of the Mind and that is exactly what I got even though it started out as a Fruit of Body.

The skill gain you get is completely random within the parameters of the fruit you eat.  I got cooking from Harvest; Charisma and Writing from Mind; and Sculpting from the Soul fruit.

I think it changed some of my relationships, too.  Overnight my Sim's boss changed and the ex-boyfriend she hated is now in the green.  The third sim that was in the relationship panel is no longer there so I have no idea what happened there.

Heehee, I got so caught up in playing that everyone else posted pictures! I've got to say though, I really like this town. It's a huge break from the norm, and I love how everything looks at night. However, I'm finding it incredibly hard to find minor pets. It's about a sim week in. I've found one bird in the crater and nothing else. I've been to the old mine, the crater obviously, the top of the waterfall (with the heart house), and all through the lower flat area.

Just so you guys know, I found the dynasty lot. It's near the waterfall; 15 Hyperion Highway. It's a 64x64: here's a picture.

And since I wanted to get into the swing of things, here's a home I'm working on for this world. I'll probably post this in the showboat thread also.

Overall, (so far), I rate this world 4.5/5. I'm not fond of that weird yellow field behind the main city, but I love everywhere else. :)

Also, feel free to request a home by PMing me! Always happy to help.

Hey guys I'm taking an extended hiatus... again. I'm out of ideas to build houses and I don't have as much fun designing homes like I used to; it feels more like a chore. So that's where I'll be, I will probably be back sometime. :P

Some interesting buildings, that's for sure. Actually, it could be fun designing some new buildings just for this world.. hey how about a futuristic building competition even?

MoonsAreZBlue, did you just try finding the minor pets on your own? While I'm looking around, I've got the collection helper going. I'l try and find a few locations.

Yeah, I started a new family and I don't like to use cheats, but I've gone all over town more than once, so I guess I must just keep missing them.

There are two huge lots so it's actually going to be Metro's call whether the 60x60 or 64x64 is used.  I found a 60x60 for 7200 over near the giant crater fishing park.

Is there a dome for Barnacle Bay?

No, there's not. I wonder why they didn't include that one either.

That's strange, considering that they did a dome for the other Store worlds. Maybe they ran out of space or something?

Maybe. They're laid out in a symmetrical V-shape pattern with Sunset Valley being the bottom of the V. I could easily see them editing just a little bit of terrain to be able to include both Bridgeport and Barnacle Bay.

Just got it.  Haven't played it.  Looking forward to it.  HOWEVER, I think the Union Cove team can do much better and I see a lot of stuff we already thought of, and maybe used, or discarded as not right for our particular build.  The heart house is definitely a lesser quality copy of Schip's house and frankly, Zap and Danefaith, amongst many others, make much more interesting and more complete and functional looking modern buildings.  We had already had an interesting crater and side story of a crash landing but committee changes turned it into what you now see in UC.  I think out crater, in all it's different permutations was and is much more awesome.  Just sayin' and yes, a tad prejudiced in our favor.   ;)

Initially my thoughts on the Tree of Life is it looks like Kryptonite but if it doesn't the awesome stuff it does it could look like a septaurian nodule and still get applause from me!  Talk about a mega built in cheat!
What?  Grannies can't play games?

If people are designing buildings, we need a futuristic fire station, salon, consignment store, and junkyard -- I put in the ones from Ambitions, but they don't go with the rest of the decor.

I really like the library -- it reminds me of the one from university.
