I'm undecided about this world. On one hand, it doesn't look brilliant from the current screenshots and I've already got every EA world, plus Union Cove. On the other hand, I love new worlds, and if the space theme is done well it will be really fun to play.

Hopefully we will get some more information or screenshots soon.

I hate to be negative, but I think I have to agree with you there. Hopefully the pictures were taken with a low graphics resolution or are just plain unflattering, because the terrain paint seems blocky and those luminescent rocks look like part of a mouthwash commercial. Since I really want to like this world, I guess I'll reserve my judgement until more screenshots are released.

I have to say I quite like the rocks. Looking at it again I'd probably agree about the terrain paint, though.

Hmm I'm not too sure about this new world. It seems quite sloppy.  :-\

Perhaps these are just drafts of what the world is going to be like, which may account for the 'sloppy' look.  I'm not sure about this new world - on one hand it could be quite interesting and is certainly different, but I hardly seem to play Barnacle Bay or Hidden Springs so I don't want to spend the simpoints for something I might or might not use.

Maybe its not sloppy... maybe apocalyptic?

I'll hold my judgement for more screen shots and details.

...and those luminescent rocks look like part of a mouthwash commercial.

See?  I'm on quite the opposite end of the scale because of those rocks.  When I saw them, I was thinking "What can *I* do with those rocks?"  I'll possibly end up getting it just to get those lol.

I'll agree that the world does look a bit bland, but for me it's as much about what I get from the town as it is the town itself.

Am I the only one who genuinely really likes this world? ;D Maybe I'm one of those silly people who take anything EA throws at them, but this I really do like. I love the space rock things! And perhaps the messy terrain is to only make the world look more surreal and unrealistic because it's a sci-fi world?

I'm just like you Fez. I like it because it's different from the other worlds, but then again, I pretty much like whatever EA makes. I think they always seem to put a great deal of effort into their worlds. I think Hidden Springs will remain my favorite store world, but who knows, maybe what makes this world so different will be what makes me like it the most.

I'm not saying that I don't like it...it just looks a little bland.  Most deserts do lol.

If you think about it:  Sims fix many objects by hitting them with hammers, change their clothes by spinning and always carry every outfit with them so they can change in public places.  Their reality is quite a bit different from ours, and aliens and glowing space rocks is not exactly far fetched for them.

LOL, that just made my day  ;D

I'm not sure I like this world either. I loved  Strangertown, but I think it was different. I think just building a futuristic/alien inspired world is not exciting enough... I'd miss being abducted and having alien babies and all that. But who knows, if it adds interesting items maybe I'll buy it anyways.

This, zombies and plantism are the things I miss the most from the Sims 2.  Aliens in particular is something people have been begging for since day one.  Really if they gave me my alien abductions back, I could live without the other two.  :'(
