Can pets be resurrected with the same Ambrosia that Sims use?

I heard they could, but is it a different version of it?
We are of peace, always but this is war.
We are of peace, always.
We'll help build a resistance. We have to fight.

When all you've ever loved has been stolen from you, sometimes all you have left is revenge.
For the truly wronged, satisfaction can be found in one of two places,  absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness. When deception cuts this deep, someone has to pay.

I hadn't either but jeanamariex3 in the weird, funny or new pic thread, said she knew how. I know that you can bring them back as ghosts with the oh my ghost opportunity. I read the official post through here, and it said something about pets being brought back to life with ambrosia.

After bring the pet back as a ghost with the Oh My Ghost opportunity at the Science lab. Make a serving of Ambrosia when you sim isn't hungry so they don't eat it. They will place it on a counter. Click on the serving of Ambrosia and there will be an option to Feed it to (ghost pets name) the sim will pick up the serving and place it on the floor for a cat or dog to eat. Like if you pets name is Rover Sim the option will be Feed to Rover Sim
If the pet is a horse you will need to drag the serving outside and place it on the ground where the horse can get to it sense a horse can't come in the house. The click the Ambrosia and select to Serve it (pets name).

Edit:
Just wanted to mention when clicking on the ambrosia to make sure you have a Sim as the active character not the pet.

Just posted about this in Pets before I saw this post but yes you can.
Drag the ambrosia to the ground where you pet can get to it. Make sure it is outside for a horse. With a Sim active, Not the pet, click on the ambrosia and there will be an option to feed it to the ghost pet.

Strange that the foal is red when alive, too.

I might have to look further into this. Right now, I can't tell if EA did that to all the pets on purpose, in AP, kind of like how Barnacle Bay's ghosts are drained with green skin, or that's just the foal itself.

Just a warning, after being resurrected, he's stuck with the negative moodlet, "Mommy's Gone" from being separated from his mother.

I did some more testing and figured out you don't even have to do the Oh My Ghost opportunity to make it a member of the household to bring them back.
I went to the graveyard and got a tombstone from the mausoleum of a horse named Silk Alto. I placed the tombstone on my lot and waited for the ghost to appear. After a few nights the ghost came out and I placed a dish of Ambrosia on the ground and click it and there was an option to feed it to Silk Alto.
I selected that and my sim called Silk Alto over and he at the Ambrosia. After the horse came back to life I got a popup asking if I wanted to add Silk Alto to the household.
I choose no to see if he would go back to the Alto's or not. Silk Alto left my lot and went to a vacant lot and vanished there. But I see him around town from time to time now.
