Dreamweaver Immortal Dynasty on the Guide
« on: February 07, 2012, 08:20:56 PM »
I'm very pleased and honored to announce that my Dreamweaver Immortal Dynasty story is now on Carl's Sims 3 Guide!  This will be a great opportunity for newcomers to be able to read the story and for longtime fans to enjoy it again.

This was a big project while it was being written and preparing it for the Guide proved to be a big job, too.  I wish to give a big thanks to Forum member gerrr00 for gathering all the information from my posts.  Another big thanks to Carl for the editing and coding it took to make it publish nicely on the Guide.

I was super happy to get on this project today. It'd been sitting in my to-do for nearly two months, so sorry to Amber and Pam. Thankfully I've felt a little better lately and tackled it today. This is a new kind of idea for us, and I'm hoping it leads to future offers (I'll ask you) of hosting stories on the guide.

I really like this feature, reading other people's stories and dynasties on the guide, rather than on the forum. I have ADD, so it's really difficult to concentrate on the story with several pages of feedback. Feedback is always good, if it's said nicely and fruitfully, of course, however, it's a bit too distracting, sometimes.

Great job Carl, Pam and Gerr!

This is great news! I'm glad to see that even the people that only look at the guide and not the forum ( I was one of them before I joined) will still get to read about the Dreamweavers!  ;D
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

Congratulations Pam!
I've been meaning to reread it, but I've never really had the time.

That's great, Pam! I've read your story multiple times...I love it so much :) Now that I have a forum reader for my iPad I can keep up with your guys' forum posts when I'm not able to get out of bed. Now I'm going to go read your story one more time.

I don't really play Dynasties or Legacies myself but I couldn't stop reading this one.
I sat and read all 28 pages of it in one evening. I loved the saga of the Dreamweavers.
I was nearly in tears by the end.

Guess I was feeling a bit Over-Emotional, but in this case, I guess that's OK.

Wow!  What a wonderful idea - and story.  Reading about the Dreamweavers, Mans, and several others has been very inspirational to me - so much so, that I'm preparing to post the dynasty that I started some time ago... and in doing so, am learning firsthand just how much work it is to create something that is a pure joy to read.  (Not saying mine will be of that caliber, only that I'm making an effort to make it worth the readers' time).

Thanks for the great site - and stories!

Just thought I'd point this out. Chapter 11 on the Guide has the entire chapter after a link acting as a link to a video early in the chapter. This makes the text underlined and blue and very difficult to read. It would be most appreciated if someone could check the coding and figure out why this is happening.

Whoa, the link's code wasn't closed. Thanks. I'm not sure how I missed that one!
