Maybe you should get your arm out of the pool wall, and then it'd be more fun. :P

And maybe wearing swimwear instead of a dress could help.

I'll pass on your suggestions to Iris, but I can't promise you she'll actually listen. It's not her strong point.

Oh no, the sharks have her trapped!

Just caught up with this. Iris is so much fun, I'm going to have to do another insane Sim soon.

I love insane sims. They're never boring. Iris doesn't really swap her clothes round much but she's very good at bizarre actions.

Whee adding the chapter, I actually thought Albert had a six pack!

Haha, he's only a child!

Great update! I love how Iris is continuing the shark obsession :) good luck finding a new supermax skill!

Thanks! She's completely obsessed. I have a new supermax skill all sorted out for her, I'm glad I didn't let any previous gens gain any skill in it!

I just love Iris! She reminds me of Kelsey all over again! Plus, she is just adorably cute. :)

I hear you about the elder outfits. The lack of variety is just annoying.

I know! I find myself using the same three or four outfits over and over again for elders. I really don't see why a few more of the YA/Adult clothes can't be used for them.

I love the first picture of Iris! The facial expression is
great! :D

Thanks! She always pulls brilliant facial expressions. It's a talent.

The farther we get into this story, the funnier it gets!  :D

Thanks Corey!

Hehe! I laughed so hard at Ethel's conversation with the watcher. Then the pool scene came along... side-splitting!
Fantastic update!  ;D

Thanks! I did actually have to google for whether I'd got the right word for omnipresent, hence the scene.

I can't read one chapter of this story without having a laughing fit!

That's a serious compliment, thanks!

New Supermax, No Babies

Ethel: Must...push...

I've used pictures of the strength equipment face so many times in this dynasty but they never stop being funny.

Ethel: Go away!

New Supermax Skill Two for Iris is also a failure.

Iris: But...it's outside. And near water. And sharks, SHARKS!

Yes dear.

Iris: You don't take this threat seriously, you'll be the first to go! The first to go! I don't think I was supposed to say that. Forget it ever happened.

I didn't recolour your shoes. I should have done.

New Supermax Skill Three.

Iris: I like this one.

Finally! Sculpting it is then.

For those of you who wonder what Albert does with his time, here you are.

Albert: I, Princess Albertina, declare this castle officially open!

Albert: What?

Just telling the forum what you're up to.

Albert: If these pictures ever make it onto the internet, I will come and get you and all of your friends.

Ooh.

It's time for the birthdays of Peggy and Josie. I very nearly typed "the twins", but of course we've got two lots of twins this gen. And two last gen. They do say twins run in the family, I suppose.

Daniel: They're growing up! Finally!

Josie: Where's the cake? And some trousers would be nice too.

I'd prioritise the trousers.

She adds Night Owl to her traits.

Daniel: Come on Pegs. Let's get you aged up. Are you looking forward to your birthday?

Peggy: ...

Daniel: I am, anyway. Have you ever said anything yet?

Peggy: ...

Peggy: ...!

I think she doesn't like her hair.

Daniel: Or her outfit, hard to tell.

Gabrielle: I think she's excited for cake.

Peggy: ... ... ...!!

I think actually she wants us to stop talking about her like she isn't there.

Peggy: *slow had clap*

She picked up the Genius trait. Half of the kids this generation are Geniuses.

Kieran: My favourite colour's spice brown.

Daniel: It was always blue before.

Kieran: I've been through a lot in my life. I was zombiefied briefly. It changes a man.

Daniel: I'm still the better brother though.

Mary and Ethel: Do you think you could argue somewhere that isn't blocking our way?

Kieran: Fight you for it!

I've seen this before.

Daniel: One, two, three!

Kieran: Draw. Again.

Kieran: You cheated!

Daniel: You can't cheat at rock, paper, scissors. It's impossible. I won fair and square.

Kieran: This is serious. It's time to bring out the heavyweight game.

Daniel: You what?

Kieran: Rock, Paper, Scissors... BOMB.

Albert's birthday. He probably wishes for attention from his parents.

Ethel: Actually, I haven't seen Mum yet this chapter. Has anyone?

Iris: The sharks have got her! It's a trap!

Gabrielle: I was hiding, and now I'm going back to hiding.

Daniel: Don't blame her.

Mary: Nor me. Mum, can I come and hide with you?

Albert becomes Hydrophobic.

Iris: It's not quite Shark Hater, but it's close.

Albert: Actually, what I wished for is a normal family.

Wow, he's pretty hot.

I'm so glad that Kieran is still around, amazing given the odd story progression aging. He and Daniel still act like they're kids when they're together. It's very endearing. :)

Poor Iris, stuck near the water for her supermax. Whatever will she do against the sharks when she is so near to their natural habitat?

And wow, I agree--Albert is quite handsome.

Poor Albert! Sorry to disagree with him, but he is just as strange as the rest of them. Well, Iris is super strange with her shark addiction.

Autospell originally corrected rest in the second sentence to rear. That statement wouldn't have been quite correct.

Pssst ... you forgot to put pants on poor Pegs.  Just sayin'.

I've seen so many little boys playing princess that now when I put a little girl in the costume and have her pretend, I can't help but perceive her as masculine!

Albert's eyes are so cool, Peggy scares me a little bit. She seems quiet but I bet she's planning something... with the sharks.

So am I, I loved having Kieran around. I keep getting messages every few days that he's going to die that day, but he's not actually died yet. Which is good but weird. Albert's totally having children, we need another generation of his genes.

Poor Albert! Sorry to disagree with him, but he is just as strange as the rest of them. Well, Iris is super strange with her shark addiction.

Autospell originally corrected rest in the second sentence to rear. That statement wouldn't have been quite correct.

Yeah, Iris is probably her own special level of strange. Do you have a mac? My mac's autospell is always correcting really weird things for me.

Pssst ... you forgot to put pants on poor Pegs.  Just sayin'.

I've seen so many little boys playing princess that now when I put a little girl in the costume and have her pretend, I can't help but perceive her as masculine!

Don't worry, that was before I'd sorted out all her outfits out! I quite often put boys in princess costumes and girls in prince ones. When I was a kid I preferred being a prince, so I quite like to have tomboy girls.

Is that a Store hair on Albert? It looks quite nice.  :D

It is, I think it's this one.

Albert's eyes are so cool, Peggy scares me a little bit. She seems quiet but I bet she's planning something... with the sharks.

She scares me a bit too. I'm not really sure why she won't say anything, and if she doesn't talk we might never find out...

This is a double post, I know.

Today is a year since I posted the first chapter of the CrumpleSteels on the forum. I hoped I'd have it done in less than a year originally, but I'm still going to celebrate my story's first birthday.

I'm writing a little story for it, which you'll find here if you're interested. CrumpleSteels Vs Sharks.

And also, thanks to everyone who's read the story in the past year, whether you've been with it from the beginning or are a new reader or somewhere in between. When I'm at a boring bit where everyone's just skilling, or when I don't really have any jokes for a chapter, people commenting on the thread makes me keep going. So thanks :)

I was posting from my iPod touch which isn't made easy, especially if you're a thumb typer. On the bright side, it corrects my bad spelling!

Monsters

Daniel: I've been thinking.

That's dangerous.

Daniel: I'm going to retire. For some reason I can't go to work anyway, there's some kind of force field stopping my action.

And so he does.

This leaves him with lots of time to do all the things he never had time to before. Like read books, apparently.

Daniel: No comment.

You could spend some time with your family.

Daniel: Fiiiine.

I didn't mean silently.

Daniel: You don't care, do you son?

Albert: What?

Daniel: See.

And you've read that book already.

Mary is looking for stars. I've never understood looking for stars in broad daylight.

Mary: No comment.

You lot aren't exactly communicative today.

Albert: Hello. Hellloooo. Hey. Hi. Hiya.

Practicing for talking to a girl

Albert: Does yo sound stupid?

Yes.

Albert: Yo it is then.

What?

Albert: You're old and out of touch, therefore whatever you say is stupid must be cool.

I'm only 22!

Albert: You've been with my family for eight generations. You must be at least as old as the Doctor.

Peggy: Mummy?

Gabrielle: Oh my god you spoke! You spoke! Daniel, she said a word! SHE SAID A WORD!

Peggy: I only wanted a snack. S'not that interesting.

Daniel and Gabrielle continue enjoying Daniel's retirement.

Iris: Eww, do you have to do that in public?

Daniel and Gabrielle: Yes.

You're keen. Why are you at school at this time.

Albert: Definitely not to release the frogs.

So you released the frogs then.

Albert: Perdita said it was cruel to keep them locked up for science experiments.

Ahhh, young love.

Why aren't you out causing havoc like usual.

Ethel: Grounded. Got caught trying to nick the flagpole outside the Science facility.

No wonder. It's not exactly a discrete thing to steal.

Mary: Actually, it is discrete, in the sense that it's not continuous.

Ethel: Do you know what she's going on about.

Nope.

Ethel: Neither do I.

Peggy: Josie said there were monsters under here. I'm going to prove her wrong. There aren't any monsters under my bed, no way are there.

Umm.

Peggy: AHHHHHHH!

Josie: Told you so!

Gabrielle: What on earth is going on in here?!

The shock of it was a bit much for Peggy.

Mary: Will I ever get a boyfriend?

Magic8 Ball: Say please.

Mary: Please?

Magic8 Ball: Yes, please. Magic balls don't operate without the magic word. Don't say your parents didn't teach you.

Mary: Magic word? Abracadabra?

Magic8 Ball: No, please!

Mary: Please, Mr Magic8 Ball, will you tell me if I'll get a boyfriend?

Magic8 Ball: Please restart for updates.

Mary: Seriously?

Magic8 Ball: Only kidding. I'm on Vista. Blue Screen of Death time.

Mary: Ahhh!

She goes for a new, more grown-up hairstyle to try and make herself feel better.

And because we haven't seen what Iris is up to yet this chapter, she's still sculpting. This superman skill might just work out.

Parents will be parents, Iris. Don't you know its their job to embarrass their kids? :P

Poor Peggy...and poor Mary with her Magic 8-Ball. That's what happens when they're powered by Windows Vista, I guess. :P
