Poor Tober!Prom, despite Daniel's worries, seemed to go well for him. Gabrielle asked him to go steady and they played his favourite song and the decorations were wonderful!
Daniel: How soon do you think I can call her?
Kieran, however, didn't have such a good time. He got into a fight, knocked over the backdrop, got rejected for a dance by his crush twice, and then got into another fight. But he did win Prom King.
Kieran: Shut up, stop talking about it!
Kieran: How come you're the geeky loner boy and you have a girlfriend and I'm the captain of the football team and I don't?
Daniel: It's just my natural charm.
Kieran: I have the charisma skill! You just read books!
Daniel: True. but I actually asked someone.
Kieran: And you were a quivering wreck afterwards. Bet if I asked someone I could get a girlfriend.
Daniel: Maybe there's your answer, then.
Kieran: Stop being so superior!
Caitlyn: I don't know why Gabrielle wants to be Daniel's girlfriend.
Kieran: Join the club.
Caitlyn: I mean, boys are smelly.
Kieran: That wasn't quite what I meant. Girls are smelly too.
Caitlyn: Muuummm! Kieran called me smelly!
Tober: Just one moment of peace. Just one. Please. Please, I beg of you.
Caitlyn: Mummy's going MAD.
The girls enjoy one last game of tag before their birthdays tomorrow. Also I suspect Tober threw everyone out the house to get some quiet time.
Kieran: Isn't she beautiful?
Who?
Kieran: That girl over there!
You could try, I dunno, talking to her then.
Kieran: Shut up watcher, are you trying to ruin my life?!?Go away, you're worse than my mother.
Kieran: Watcher... help. I don't get this Geography homework.
Shan't.
Kieran: Please?
Shan't. You told me to go away. I'm not speaking to you.
Kieran: But pleeeeaaaasseeee watcher! I'll be nice to you.
I'm not speaking to you anymore.
Tober: Great. If it's not enough to have two teens and two almost-teens with moodswings, now I have a watcher with them too.
I'm not...
Tober: Also, when you're not speaking to someone it helps to actually not speak to them.
So without further ado, it's time for the girls' teen birthdays.
Caitlyn: You're just trying to avoid admitting you're wrong, aren't you?
No, I'm just moving swiftly on to the important part of the chapter, you two.
Sophie: You so are.
Caitlyn: Why is everyone ignoring my birthday?
Caitlyn: Okay, everyone, go back to ignoring my birthday now. Nice and quickly.
Hahahaha.
Caitlyn: Mirror. Now.
Sophie: But you have to stay for my birthday!
Caitlyn: No such luck, kiddo.
Sophie: That's not fair!
Sophie: Actually, I'm really glad she didn't. Now everyone just pretend I aged up looking gorgeous and I won't prank the shower.
Kieran: I don't care if you prank the shower, I'm telling her about that hair!
Sophie: Kieeerraannn!
Sophie is a girly-girl.
Cait... isn't.
Cait: Don't mind me, I'm pranking every shower in this house until I get Kieran.
Good.
Cait: You're not supposed to encourage me. But hey, not going to complain am I.
Tober: I can't see how I'm going to survive four teenagers, I really can't. Can I come and live with you again?
Verity: It'll be fine. They'll calm down. And if they don't send them to boarding school.
Tober: Can't I just send them now?
Next time: more pillow fighting and some new clothes for Grim.
