We Haven't Had A Birthday In A While...Iris: Daddy. DADDY. DADDDDDYYYYYY!
Daniel: What?
Iris: There are weird people in the garden.
Daniel: You mean weird people who aren't you?
Iris: Daddy, that's not funny.
Daniel: Dad jokes aren't supposed to be funny.
Daniel: Oh hi little brother. Is this some kind of convention of last night's zombies?
Kieran: Your child is loud.
Former Zombie Convention: Very loud.
Kieran: And, anyway, it's a zombie recovery programme. Zombies are victimised in this society...
Ethel: You'd scream if he called you Ethie, too.
Daniel: I'm going to go and give her back to her mother. I don't know what she wants.
Ethel: I told you what I want. Loudly.
Kieran: My big brother. All the books in the world and he still has no common sense.
Sadly it's often that way.
Kieran: Oops.
I think you just lost your moral high ground on everything.
Kieran: It's not my fault. It's a side effect of zombification. Honest.
Daniel: What is?
The boys have a game of rock, paper, scissors for old time's sake.
Iris: Mummy, it moved!
Gabrielle: That's cuz there's a baby in there.
Iris: No there's not.
Gabrielle: Oh yes there is!
Iris: It's not panto season anymore Mummy. You're silly.
Gabrielle: We don't call people silly, remember?
Iris: Daddy does. Daddy said Ethel was silly.
Gabrielle: DANIEL!
On the subject of Ethel...
Ethel: Pink?!
And then Mary, who has been neglected by this story so far.
Mary: That's okay, I know you don't mean to.
Here's Ethel after her makeover. I told you calling a child Ethel would do funny things to them. She's very prim and proper.
And Mary. Who manages to be more normal, even if she does enjoy doing her homework.
Mary: *pops lifetime wish to become a World Reknowned Surgeon*
That'll be why then.
And Albert learns his toddler skills. It's a doddle for Daniel and Gabrielle at this point, they've got the technique down.
Though I'm not sure Albert really likes being taught to potty.
Albert: Smelly.
Gabrielle: You're the smelly one, kid.
And for the first time since Iris was born, Daniel finds time to do something other than deal with babies.
