Lifespan Dogs bugged?

Hey,

I have a nice family and I am playing on Epic settings. I changed the Elder part for dogs though to 14 days. On of my dogs now turned elder and when I click on him under petology it still says 350 days. I know it sounds hard, but I need him to die to get space for my incoming Sim bot!

Is that a bug? Did somebody else notice this?
What can I do about this?

(I don't play with hacks and would like to keep it that way).

Sorry, I don't have any obvious solution to your age-span issue.

However as an alternative : Have you considered simply giving them to a neighbor ?

That way they can live on as an inactive you can visit, and you will have the space available in your active family for your new addition.

Use the "Split" and "Merge" operations in "Edit Town".

Welcome to our Forum, Naora.

How far along is the green bar?  If it's close to the end, the dog will probably die soon.  I think the 350 days means the age of the dog.  I'm not used to the Epic setting, so I don't know how long the standard lifespan is supposed to be on that setting.

A dog's lifespan on epic is 493 days (75 puppy, 268 adult, 150 elder)  you changed elder to 14 days, which brings my epic dog age to 357 days.

Your 350 day dog isn't dying, because its not suppose to yet.

I think I've had this problem before with the settings just on normal. One time I thought I had noticed the bar jump around to different ages. I haven't noticed it lately with my current dynasty but hopefully it was just a one time thing.

But if you need space why don't you just give him up for adoption?
