Great idea Pally! I'm glad I asked, you guys are coming up with things I've never thought of before!

I have all EP's and SP's, yet I have never seen a chest there. Always books, gnomes, gems and 1 of the incense things but never a chest! But if you guys say they can be found there, I'll keep looking!!

I'm glad Metro ruled on this, I would never attempt talking strategy and he's the one that suggested I ask here.  ;D

Are things like chests and tents in the consignment store a recent development?  Because I tend to spend a great deal of time there and I've never seen either of them there...

I've never seen them either.
I've gone through the painting and sculpting careers and am working on the inventing career now so I am at the consignment store everyday and been making a point to look and buy out a bunch of items to try to get the chest to pop up but so far no luck. If the chest does show up there it must be rare.

I never saw chests at the store either. When I have a lot of gems I decorate the pond with it. Or I scatter them in the garden. The paintings I hang on the basements wall.

They don't show up very often, just like the camera, but, be patient and you will find one there eventually.  Probably take less time to go on vacation to get one, than wait for one in the shop, lol. :)

I've spent alot of time there too and never seen them. It probably would Salty, I'm just not allowed to do it this file. Actually, it would be quicker to use buydebug haha, but that's not allowed either. I'm so hoping it gets fixed before I have this issue, but my computer died over the weekend, so if it doesn't get fixed before the real thing starts, all this advice won't do me any good.  :'(

I'm pretty lucky with the camera.  I can usually find one or the other within a week or two.  Although, it's never there when I desperately want one lol.

That's weird Hosfac! I get cameras all the time. Just never chests or tents. Of course, in my Dynasty when I first started, it took a few days to get a camera but now that I have one, they are there everyday.  ::)

I saw that person too, I agree, it is pointless and annoying when that happens, it was probably a bot, glad the Mods dealt with them quickly.

As a note:  responding to spammers is considered spam in and of itself, and the discussion of the existence of spam is off topic.  So please, don't do either.  As anyone who has been here any amount of time can tell you:  this forum is actively moderated and spam is aggressively removed. 

There is a link at the bottom of the the text body of every post that says "Report to Moderator."  If you use that to report spam posts and threads, they will be gone in a matter of moments.
