Oh thank you so much! Every since I was in pre-k I have loved to come up with story's and I have a wild imagination... when I get bored I write short stories and my last one (looking back on it) its so out of control... it involved a unicorn the broke into peoples homes and stole food out of their fridges and left a block of tofu in the victims fridge in return. Hahaha!

Chapter 3: Ella Elliot
Last night I dreamed of having the power to fly and the power to do my chores all at the same time...

I woke up to the crinkling of a piece of paper... I looked around for the source and noticed it was under my pillow. I flipped my pillow over and pulled out a letter written in black fountain pen. It read

Dear Ella Elliot,
Come to the forest tonight as soon as the sunsets to claim you powers from the full moon.

My powers! Tonight?!? How can I possibly sneak out! Grace tucks me in and then continues to do house work until who knows when! I couldn't sneak past her... Hmm... I got it!

I walked upstairs, breakfast was ugh... oatmeal again.
Then step 1 of my plan...
"Grand Morning Gracie,  I feel bad that you are up so very late working, can I take over tonight and let you rest?" I asked hoping she would say ok.
"And a grand morning to you Ella... it is so kind of you to offer, a night of full sleep does sound quite nice... well ok, I will leave some easier chores for you to do tonight. Thanks Ella!" Grace said and gave me a big hug.

Tonight I tucked Grace, Joy and Jack in and then I went upstairs.
 
As I washed dishes from dinner I watched the sun go down waiting for my chance to run to the forest. Then... it was time!

When I got there I saw what appeared to be a the lady I met but not in her candy-like self, green like swamp goo! 
"Miss?" I said confused. And she made a witch cackle.

Then I heard the right voice appear.
"Oh stop it sister! Do not scare the little child! Shoo!" said the lady I was waiting to see.

"Oh your sisters!" I said.
"Yes dear, She is evil and I am good..."
"Oh I see! May I know your names..." I asked.
"Oh well I am Emeralda... Evil as I can be!" the green one said with a cackle,
"And I am her twin sister Elluna." said the good candy one.
"Oh no! We are late the moon has come up! Quick run this way!" Said Elluna.
   
We ran into a opening in the woods where to moonlight blazed through....
"HURRY! Stand here close your eyes!" Elluna said, I did.
"Moonray-Alla-Gettra-Ella!" She cast a spell and then I went limp and things got blurred and a odd tickle came over my body.

Then I fell to the ground and opened my eyes...
"What happened?" I asked.
"You claimed your powers from the moon! Now you are magical!" Elluna said then Vanished.
Huh? This doesn't make any sense how do I use magic.[/size]

Hahaha! I am trying! But school comes first! I had many tests to study for (end of the 2nd marking period) so I didn't have much time to write... But I will try to write more

Chapter: 3 Continued Ella Elliot
After my oh so boring chores. I played with my big sister Joy... We talked about our favorite colors. Mine was pink.
Then I clapped my hands together while I was talking and sparks of light flew out! Magic?

"What happened?!?" Joy said. I hushed her. Then I extended my harms with my fingers pointed to the ceiling like a conductor of a symphony.

One of my fingers had a glow on the tip the other did not. I tapped the lite finger on the other and a ball of light flicked on it.
"Ella! How did you do that!" Joy said trying to do it herself but not succeeding.
"It was magic!" I said... I  learned my first bit of magic!
"Ella you are no magician! Really how did you do that!" Joy said.
"No, I am not, this was not magic trick, it was actually magic!" I said waving my globe of light around. 
"How come I don't have magic?" Joy said in a jealous pouting voice.
"I was chosen! I met a good witch one day in the forest and she gave me powers!" I said.
"Really? What else can you do!" Joy asked.
"Well, I don't know this is my first bit of magic I have ever done!"
"Ella you must show Jack and Gracie! Come one!" Joy said tugging on my arm...
"No! I want this to be a secret between you and me, Joy please don't tell!"
"Well why not!" Joy said being difficult.
"Because, I don't want to be the freak of the family or the one being shown off all the time! It is a skill not a toy!" I said to Joy hoping this got through her head!
"Ok, what ever you want... I promise not to tell anyone, hug on it?" Joy said. In our family a promise is sealed with a hug.

Well... I wonder if this is my only power... it can't be! Well I will keep trying to uncover my others but until then I can make light!

Chapter 4: Jack Elliot
Grace woke everyone up early this morning... who knows why.

I heard Grace talking with Ella, something about the royal family? Well let me give you a little background information... a history lesson. Our small town is actually a colony that is part of the country Palliman, witch is ruled by King Wellutta. Our colony gets minimal attention from the Royals, our colony is well behaved and extremely small. The last time the royal family came through the town was before I was born. We get the occasional news-print that we have to buy from Mike's and it has important information on it... apparently when Grace when down to Little Mike's for food, Mike gave her the newsprint and it stated the King, Queen and Princess and coming to our town for a week to examine our town and add some new rules.


I was fishing when a horse-drawn buggy pulled up in front of the house. Clip-clop, clip-clop the horses hooves slowed to a stop. I put down my fishing rod to see what was going on... then I remembered the Royals are coming. Grace hurried Joy and Ella outside to greet them. Out stepped the King first.

"Welcome my lord..." Said Grace sounding much like Eve...
"Welcome!" Joy greeted.
"Welcome Sir!" added Ella.
"It is great to be here! My it is beautiful here!" The King said with a rich deep voice.
"Indeed it is... How was your travels sir?" Grace said sounding like a young lady, not the naggy older annoying sister I think of her is.
"Oh dear what a bumpy ride that was!" Said a women's voice. Then out stepped the Queen.
 
"Can I get you anything?" Asked Joy.
"Well we were wondering if we could set up camp here for the week?" Asked the Queen.
"Oh coarse you can!" Grace said.
"Thank you darling, the guards will set up..."
Then 5 guards popped out of the buggy and began putting up walls and floor boards and a roof. I watched in awe. Then another buggy pulled up and out came servants setting up 3 beds. In a matter of an hour a little home was built.

The buggy opened again. Who could it be now?
The princess!
"Ah! Princess Nola, the sleeping beauty has awoken!" Said the King with a smile. Guards assisted the Princess as she got out of the buggy.  Then as the guards stepped back I saw her... the most beautiful lady I have ever seen...

She was amazing... truly amazing.
"May I ask you names?" The Queen said to my sisters.
"I am Grace Elliot."
"I am Joy Elliot."
"And I'm Ella Elliot."
"Nice to meet you Grace, Joy and Ella... Oh and who are you young man?" She asked me...
"Oh umm... I am Jackson Elliot... But, you can call me Jack... if you want..." I said nervously. Grace rolled her eyes at me.
"Nola dear don't be rude!" The Queen said.
"I am sorry, I am Nola. Nice to meet you Grace..." She said with the sweetest voice and gave Grace a hug. Then Joy and then Ella. When she came to me my heart raced.
"Why hello there Jackson... excuse me, Jack..." She said reaching her hand out... I didn't have clue why she raised her hand so I shook it... I think the was incorrect because of the confused face... Then she giggled.
"Well I must go examine the town now... Nola stay with them..." The King said then him and the Queen left.
"Princess Nola, would you care to swim in the pond with us?" Grace offered.
"Swim? What is that?" Nola asked.
"You don't know what swimming is?!?!" Ella exclaimed...
"Ella! Don't be so rude! Not everyone has the same customs!" Grace corrected her.
"Sorry Nola..."
"It is fine... but really, what is it!" Nola asked.
"Well you jump into a pond, play games and paddle around in water..." Joy explained.
"Oh I couldn't my dress would get ruined." Nola said fluffing her dress.
"Oh not in your dress your under clothes!" Ella said.
"How inappropriate! I wouldn't dare go in public in my under clothing..." Nola shot down the idea.
"It is not, it is very fun and we all love it!" Joy said.
"Joy and Ella I am asking you to leave Nola alone, she doesn't want to swim and it is fine..." Grace ordered.
"Come, lets prepare dinner..." Grace said placing her hand on Joy and Ella's backs giving them a little push toward the house. Then the left. It was just me and Nola now... What do I do?!?
"Hello Jack..." Nola said.
"Hello Princess Nola..." I said back.
"How are you doing?" I asked trying to come up with things to stay.
"Delightful! Thank you for asking..." Nola said.... ughhhhh now what do I say!!!
"Would you care to go on a walk?" I asked... A walk???
"I would love to!" Nola said.

We walked to the pond. I pointed out different types of fish to Nola and then a gust of wind made Nola stumble and fall. I caught her before she could fall into the pond...
"Thank you so much Jack! I would have fallen right in!" Nola thanked me... NOLA THANKED ME!!! I feel like a hero! I smiled at her and forgot that I was still holding her.
She giggled an I pulled my hands back.
"Why did you do that? I didn't mind..." Nola said, Oh goodness she wants me to hold her! So I reached out to hug her and a guard appeared.
"Hands off... the king wants you in bed now, he said you have had a long day and must rest." The guard spoke in a loud assertive voice.
"No! I want to stay out! Stop! Hands off me guard!" She yelled fighting the guard, but the guard scooped her right up and carried her over his shoulder and carried her up the hill an into there camp.
She fought the whole way too... yelling "Unhand me! How dare you treat me like this!!!" The I saw the guard lock the door to the camp and leave. I felt bad now... I ran up the hill and looked into the window of the camp.

Nola was pouting on her bed. I knocked. Nola looked up and told me to come in... I jiggled the door knob and it was locked. I shrugged and Nola sighed. She waved me to go... I felt terrible... the poor girl locked away in a room all night! That is truly terrible.

LOL! I wish I had thought of that! Hahaha! But it would be a little odd since this story is kind of old-fashion and The Journal of Sterling Rose is modern so... Time travel maybe? hahaha!

Chapter 5: Joy Elliot
It truly is grand serving royalty!!! My favorite part is just to watch how royalty does things... how they walk, talk, ask questions... it is all so fascinating!!! But the most interesting part of this whole adventure is relationships between Royalty and the Guards, Guards and the princess, our family and the royalty and the most grand relationship that puzzles me is... Jack and the Princess... what is going on? Jack is evil! Like a rotten plum in a fruit basket! I was observing them this morning... not spying observing

I listened closely...
"Jack I must apologize for last evening...  I am embarrassed by the way I acted..." said Nola... why would Nola be embarrassed! Can that even happen to a princess?
"Do not worry about it..." Jack replied sounding sympathetic... more like pathetic... but kinder that usual. Could this be a sign? A sign of L-O-V-E??? Love... Jack is in... LOVE! The soul-less brother I thought he was has gained a raisin sized heart!
"Whoopee!!!" I yelled out on accident...
"Sorry! I am so very sorry!" I yelled to Jack and Nola...
"Sorry for my sister Joy, who is always joyful... and a little be mentally unstable." Jack whispered to Nola. Nola giggled... but I heard every word because I have EARS like a HAWK! I let out a little "Cawca!" under my breathe... Then yelled to Jack...
"I am perfectly fine!!!" Then I saw the newspaper delivery come and I ran for it! The newspaper is a treat! It is too expensive for us to afford unless it has important stuff in it (not gossip and other juicy stuff) I snatched the paper bundle up and ran down to the study circle. I gnawed off the twine the wrapped the paper. The head lines were   
"NEW MAGIC RULES" then in smaller print under that "By orders of the King new rules have been placed on sorcery"
Here is the article...
"The King has outlawed magic practice in the outer colonies. This law will be strictly enforced... Magic Monitors will be all over the outer colonies looking for illegal magic practice. Those who do not obey such law will be killed. Young or old, will have to face serious consequences. If you are a member of the inter Kingdom then you may practice magic IF you have a permit that is written by the King. If you do not then again you will be killed. All magic in outer colonies and under certified magic in the inter kingdom will be labeled as black magic... So obey or be ready to pay."


The first thing that came to my head was... Ella! She can't control her magic! And if she claps... oh lord if she claps... the light sparks!!! She doesn't know how to do magic either so who knows what else could trigger it!!! Ella NO! I cannot loose another sister... I must warn here!

Here she comes... Eating... oatmeal UGH!

"Joy?" Ella asked me.
"Yes Ella..." I said shaking...
"Stop looking at me in such a way your a frightening me!" She said.

I guess I did look rather crazed...
"I am sorry... but I must warn you..."
"About what?" Ella asked.
"You can't practice magic anymore!" I said in a whisper
"What do you mean I can't I have so much to learn!" She yelled.
"SHHHHH! Ella! If you get caught you WILL be killed!" I said. "Its under kings orders"
"But, I can't control it!" She said.
"Just don't clap!" I said.
"But what if everyone is clapping? I don't  want to be rude..." Ella asked...
"When will that ever happen?!?" I said in response to Ella's odd question.

"I am warning you Ella Vera Elliot... you are putting yourself at risk..." I said giving her a shake.
"Fine..." Ella said storming off. I didn't mean to make her upset but she must know!
