I just installed Showtime, and it looks like it adds three businesses/parks in places that were previously empty lots.  Is Showtime allowed for this challenge, or does it change things too much?

Nope. If you have Showtime installed, then you just follow the rules as is. Welcome back, champ.

For those of you who are afraid of the patch.  Don't be.  I know this is not the place for it but I hate to have good players quit because of it.

Thanks Joria. But, I'm not confident enough with EA to install a patch without the EP which I will not be getting until next month. I'd rather not risk the Halliwell's lives unless I absolutely have to, i.e. installing an EP which kinda makes me patch up. This is the farthest I've ever gotten on the Dynasty, my 4th generation is now a toddler and I don't wanna risk it for a challenge. Thanks though!

I have just gone to start this challenge and as I have showtime installed it has dropped the new community venues in Sunset Valley.  Can I demolish these in order to complete the challenge?

I'm really glad I haven't installed Showtime!  I can just imagine how much harder it will be to finish in anything close to a good time with more venues to buy.

That leaves 13 lots to move into instead of the allotted 16, is this still ok?

The trade off is you have to buy more community lots.  It all works out in the end, just more of one, less of the other; or less of one, more of the other   And everyone is a little different depending on which expansions they have to begin with.

You would still have that option according to the bold part of his response.

I am officially DNF for this challenge.  I just can't keep the interest in it long enough to play more than a few days.  Looking forward to the next set of challenges now...

Thanks.  I missed the challenges and decided I could still play one now and then even though I won't be playing them all.  I just have to look at them as one at a time events rather than a yearlong challenge.
