Sunset Valley: Attack of the Clones!

This sounds like my kind of challenge - I am not very good at regular challenges as I hate micromanaging, but this whole thing about making needs static is awesome. I am going to be doing a practice file before diving in with this challenge. Chances are I won't be able to participate but I'll put up a Powerpoint of my practice file.  I'm also glad that travel is banned as I am beginning to hate World Adventures and their stupid travel bugs(my founder of a previous Immortal Dynasty couldn't leave France and I had to restart). Also, no babies or toddlers, just kids!

I couldn't get started right away as I didn't have Generations, but now I do and I'm ready to try this! If I do manage to do the challenge, I'll put up a blog of it too. CIAO!

Metro I heard there was a new patch, so I went looking for that thread. What I found was bad, so my question is since I started the clone challenge completely patched, would I have to add the patch to finish it legally? I don't want to put my Dynasty in jeopardy as I've just recently gotten my 4th generation and 2nd Immortal.

Um. Marian is right, I didn't read that!! Lol. Anyways, Metro, what's the word on the patch? Is it ok for me to continue without it, or just post a DNF and go back to my Dynasty? I'm not playing until I get a yay or nay from you. Well, not that file lol.

I'm so tempted to ask you to PM me too.  Lets wait though lol. If Metro says I have to patch up to continue, I'm going to be a DNF so you could then!

I hope we can continue without the patch. I was patched up when I started, but for some reason, I can't install this latest patch. It gets almost through it, then says it can't finish. I hope it works once I get showtime on Thursday, but I'm also hoping to have this one finished by then, although it's been a bit slow because my game keeps freezing and I have to get out of the game and then get back in. After the first time it did it and I lost about a full Sim day of play, I have been saving several times a day so I don't lose too much.

I hope we can too. I won't be getting Showtime til next month, and I don't want to risk my Dynasty over a patch. As it is now, since we haven't heard from Metro on it yet, I've been playing another file. Teleporting, buydebug and all. Save me from the madness Metro! Hehe.

I'd be happy to share with anyone that's finished or dnf. Just send me a PM. Good luck, Esther! I'm holding off on patching - I usually don't log off a challenge until I finish it since it seems to prevent some of the weirder errors.
