I am looking at jumping into this one. I have WA I am guessing all I need is for this is the Generations expansion. Just wanted to check before I get the wrong one. or try to start and find I need more then that.

Yes, you have to have Generations for the clone voucher. Good luck!
Thanks Esther! I'm sure I'll be surpassed by a number of power hitters. I didn't to a trial run since I have a few days off and won't have much time due to work for the foreseeable future. I plotted out in my head the path to take and ran with it. I realized a few things that would have saved me about a week total if I did them. So much for not practicing!
You're welcome! Wow, that is amazing. I practiced and thought of something good, even though THAT didn't work out like I hoped haha, but I think it's going to take me at least 12-13 sim weeks just to buy everything, and that's not even counting taking over every house. I might surprise myself and get it done about 10 weeks but I doubt it. Can't wait til it's over so I can hear how you did it! Well, I can because if it was over now I'd be DNF hehe.

Yay, since I'm first to post my score, I'll get top of the leaderboard - for now!

Finished Week 4 day 7 at 3:30am. Would have been a day earlier if not for an unfortunate mishap.

Total 28 days.

Four weeks!  OMG!  In all my testing I never even came close to that short a time!  I haven't even started my real file but now I'm wondering if I should even bother?  Pretty sure my time would wind up being like 20 weeks!  Congratulations and many kudos to you.

Aww, don't say that. No matter how long it takes us, it's still fun to do. I've never used a clone voucher before this, so that alone was a new experience.

I would like to ask please that when you move out a member of the family into their own house do you have to use the move house? If that is so then the money for that property is taken from the family funds which will take loads of cash let alone the money needed for buying the business etc.  Or do you just evict from household by going into Edit Town and then place them in a house which costs nothing, though thinking about it you would only have $18500 to purchase a house. I think I have answered it myself but would like to know if I am on the right track.

Joria, like Twinmum says, go ahead and bother! It's not about winning, it's all about having fun. Would I like to win? Well, yeah. Am I going to? No way Jose!! But, I'm having fun with it and not even looking at how long has gone by, don't feel pressure about it.  ;D

Good news I think. I moved my file to the new folder and it seems to be better. It has just recently started a little lagging at about 4 weeks, but it's light compared to what it was so I can deal with it. Almost 4 weeks and I still don't even have 1 clone moved out, so see Joria? You will probably beat me!!  ;D

Skye, when you go to move them out, just use their cell phone to move to another house. Don't change the active household though. The goal is to have all the empty houses filled by the clones. Also, welcome to the forums!

Skye, either way you are going to have to buy a house for each clone. I tested a few weeks ago, and the "kick out" option doesn't necessarily place your clone in a house.

Hey all

Thought I could finish this challenge, but there's no way. I'm tapping out at 20 weeks and 28 clones moved out. Looking forward to seeing how those who finished did it!

Thanks for the replies.  I thought that was the case.  That means I need more money, how on earth does anyone do this in 4 sim weeks, I too will look forward to seeing how it was done.

Esther and Twinmum,  you guys have encouraged me.  I enlisted the aid of my dh, who does not play Sims, last night.  lol  I think I'm even more confused now, but at least he tried and he did make sense in many areas I had not thought about.  Trying to explain Sims to a non-player was a definite challenge, especially when it's someone who has a million questions about EVERYTHING.

Welcome Skye.  Nocturnalie, don't give up!  You'll just have a score a wee bit HIGHER than mine! Hehehe.

Esther and Twinmum,  you guys have encouraged me.

I'm glad. I play the challenges with the hope of getting a good score and sometimes I think I have a great plan, then I see other scores and know my plan was only OK, not great lol. I often see the challenges as a challenge to myself rather than against other players because they usually get me doing things I am not accustomed to.

Me too, they give me a definite something to try, normally out of my area of comfort.  This one is not going to be my best for sure, if I even finish it.  Day 2 and I had to stop because I was bored, which means I was doing something wrong, so I will come back to it later and adjust my strategy.  I never play thinking I will win, first I just want to finish and then my goal is to be in the top half of the board.

That's awesome! I can't even imagine trying to explain sims to a non-player lol. I tried my brother once and was left with a headache.  ;D

I'm sorry Nocturnalie, but don't give up! The only way I will give up on this is if it starts lagging like it did before or I don't get them all out by the time the challenge is over lol. Oh or I get a bug. I'm thinking I might not get them all out by the end, but I'm still going to try!

I'm doing somethings different than how I normally play, but for the most part it's the same as a normal game for me. I'm not thinking of winning, or the challenge, I'm just thinking of how much I love playing sims. Maybe that's why in the one challenge I finished I was near the bottom, but at least I had fun!  ;D

The # of empty lots depends on your EP combination. When Metro writes 16 empty lots, it's with all the EPs and with the additional community lot already placed.

Whatever your EPs, all you have to do is start a brand new save in SV, decides which EA community lot you want to add and where, plop it, then fill all the remaining empty lots with EA library houses.
