Wench,  I'm assuming no, because mine aren't.  lol

My Consignment Store won't allow my Sim to buy or consign.  Is there a fix for this or should I just sell stuff for less from her inventory?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

When I get that its usually fixed by cancelling anything I currently have on sale.  It usually lets me consign things again after that.

Full of endless questions tonight I know, but I really would like to actually finish a challenge this time ;)

1, Are we allowed to place a subway?

2, If the EA community building we wished to place is on a 64x64 footprint, is it allowable to replace the usual legacy lot  with a 64x 64 lot?  It felt like it would be in keeping with the spirit of the rules as it wouldn't reduce the amount of lots available but the wording felt like it would rule that option out.

Make sure to save and exit to the main menu, and then re-enter the game after you cancel the consignments.  My game doesn't let me consign unless I do this.  Also, don't worry about cancelling the consignments that have more than a day of time left.  Those should be fine.

I don't think the clones have to be identical. Once you purchase a lot you have to upgrade it, so I think it would be ok to place a subway as long as you've bought that property. Metro would have the final say though. I'm not sure about the houses and lot so I didn't answer those.  :) Also, on the consignment store, if that doesn't work, sell the register and buy a new one. Once you've bought the property the registers are under misc objects in the community options. Good news about my computer, my friend fixed it and said I should hopefully have it back tomorrow!!  ;D

The additional 2nd portion to the following rule was added this morning after receiving many PMs over the last couple weeks...

  • Everyone is allowed to change one lot type to community to place ONE EA building not already in Sunset Valley. You may delete one existing structure if it's necessary to place the new EA community building.

1. The houses we use have to be EA houses, but do they have to be ones from the lot bin? Or can we copy-paste EA houses from the various EA neighbourhoods? And can we please have it specified in the ruleset aswell for clarity?

Keep it simple. Use the houses already in the lot bin. I'm assuming that's the way everyone is interpreting things anyway, right?

2. According to the guide, the graveyard is glitched without using buydebug. What do we do about that?

I do not know what you mean by glitched. If this has to do with strategy then enlighten me via PM.

The thing with the subway is it isn't a "building" per se.  It is found under "miscellaneous" like things like cash registers, picnic tables and such.  Since it isn't a building I would think it would just be considered an upgrade to a property you own as long as you are putting it on an owned property and not it's own lot.

This sounds interesting, but I just started some testing and I don't think I'll be able to stick it out in the real run. 97 lots? Really like who needs that many :D

That almost sounds like you're questioning Supreme Sim Entity. Whew. Glad it was not me.

OK, I'm going to be a pain and ask..
Metro, Can I Do X?

I know we have the following paragraph from the general rules.

Yes, you can! No content from the base game and all expansions is out of bounds. If you’re not opening up the cheats panel, and assuming you’re following the General Rules and specific challenge rules, then you can do it. I sincerely hope the amount of questions and clarifications needed will be reduced with this move towards simplicity.

I must have read this wrong originally, because I was under the impression that EA content in general was OK. But when I re-read it, I see it only mentions expansion pack items. So my question is where do we stand on store items, mainly the premium content items that can alter game play and now the Tree of Prosperity from Lunar Lakes?

Tough call. Would it give someone enough of an advantage that they would win a challenge? Hard to say. But, think about it -- there are plenty of advantages that exist with certain expansions as it is. If someone has Late Night, then they have the advantages as vampires. If someone has Ambitions, then they have the monetary advantages of the consignment store, etc, etc. I'm going to say yes for now unless there's a flood of negative feedback on that decision.

OK, another question.. sorry Metro, but I'm still playing and testing things and just had a brainstorm (well more like a brain shower.. ;D ) and hit a block.

Everyone is allowed to change one lot type to community to place ONE EA building not already in Sunset Valley. You may delete one existing structure if it's necessary to place the new EA community building.

So what if the community building we want to place will not fit on any of the existing empty residential lots and by empty, I mean those without a family living there. I'm guessing we can't delete a house with a family in it.

No. You cannot delete a house with a family in it. If the rule above that you quoted does not cover your situation, then you'll need to make do I guess.
