Wow, I don't think we've had a challenge quite like this one before. Have an idea what the unmentionable could be, but of course I could be wrong lol. Now if I could just get some decent Sims time in I could test a few things - the kids go back to school when???

I think I might take a stab at this one.   I already got a few startagies in mind for it.

Edit: Oh frell. Shizzle sticks and rabooshibug!

;D This is something to post on the "You know when you've played too much Sims when..." thread. Not only for saying it... but for knowing what it means  ;D

Anyway... Needs static, yay! I'm kind of addicted to TCE just because it allows me to do anything with my Sims' needs, so making them static would be great as well!  :P I think I'm going to try this one! but I'm going to try to finish my Immortal Dynasty first. I'm like on my tenth attempt, so it's time to put an end to it, I think.

So we can only add to the household with a clone voucher.. what if a Sim brings back a child in the time machine, what do we do with said child?

**edit**
Everyone is allowed to change one lot type to commercial to place ONE EA commercial building not already in Sunset Valley.
Create 4 Young Adult Sims.

by commercial, do you mean community lot? Can we change the lot and add ANY community lot or does it need to be a business?

*additional edit* fixed this post to remove my double post with weird quotes.

Delete the child. Simple. You'll have cheats on anyway.

Your choice. And yes, I meant community. Thanks.

Wow, this looks....tough. I hope I have enough time to get in a practice run or two (and if a couple important strategic thoughts hadn't occurred to me in the last couple minutes, I'd probably be skipping this one entirely).

Are there any restrictions about what can be added to Properties as we upgrade them? There's a couple items in particular I'm wondering about but I'm not sure whether or not I should mention them.

Well, the restriction is that a Property needs to be fully upgraded — the game tells you exactly what needs to be purchased/built. After that, there are no restrictions.

I'm assuming buydebug is off the list? It's just static needs and deleting sims as needed?

Yep. Buydebug is not allowed.

I never played with story progression turned off, does this stop the clones that has moved out from the household to meet somebody and have kids? I'm really looking forward to this one, I even printed out the rules to keep handy when I play because I tend to get distracted.

That's right, with story progression disabled, other residents of town will just stay as they are, no marriages, no kids, possibly no advancement in careers. I think, also that they won't age, but someone will have to confirm this aspect.

I believe aging and story progression are set separately.  So they will still age, they just won't change their situation or status.

Oh OK, I thought that if story progression was disabled, only the active household would age.

I am in the process of reinstalling my game and will verify the settings once I get in, but that is my understanding.  There might be a switch to have the world age Sims-2-style where only the active family ages.
