Consignment Store
« on: January 11, 2012, 10:01:47 PM »
Do you make more money selling things straight from your sim's inventory or when selling items at the consignment store?
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

Consignment Store.
Here's the guide about it:

You know, I think this deserves some more testing.  I seem to get nearly the same amount when I sell items from fishing and gardening through my Sim's personal inventory.  I wonder if EA has changed this.

Paintings are worth a ton more. Or at least they used to be…

Perhaps

Just as a small example and this is with a impressive reputation and the Suave Seller LTW.
A painting from my inventory sells for $3,477 and at the store sold for $6,797.
An apple from my inventory sells $4 and at the store sold for $9.

Paintings, sculptures and inventions still sell for much more using the consignment store, but I can't speak for fish or gardening produce since I very rarely fish or garden.

Grimsoul is definitely right. I frequently sell large paintings for nearly double price at the consignment shop, but that's with the Born Salesman/woman trait and the Suave Seller LTR. I get about the same results with stone sculptures too.

Just a few minutes before I posted. I had the sims running in the background and went in to test it.
