Food Trucks

Is there any way to get a food truck into a town, without putting a Late Night building into it? I never see them in other towns except Bridgeport, and I really can't find them there. ;D

Yes it does, thank you I was also wondering if you can get the special parking lot anywhere. I wouldn't care if it was a cheat or not, I will do what was suggested in the link in the mean time. :)

I believe if you use the buydebug cheat you'll find the food truck parking spot.  I also think I've heard you need more than one parking spot to get the food truck (so multiple places around town)

Not certain whether the parking place is available in the vanilla game or not.

However EA tuning default specify that one requires more than three parking spots in your town in order for a single food truck to spawn.

If you add more spots then additional trucks will be spawned, up to a tuning default of three.

The World you are playing must also be marked as a Downtown world for the traffic manager to operate properly.

How I did it was download a lot that had the parking lot with it, and the food truck was there. I would assume that could be done with a EA lot if you put it in another town besides Bridgeport. All it would take is knowing which lots have the parking space for food trucks.

I gather that the creator of said lot had placed a Food Truck object on the lot manually ?

That is definitely one way to receive the truck yes, provided you can locate lots of that nature.

However such a vehicle will not move from that position and travel to other parking locations.  It is simply a static object, not governed by the EA Traffic Manager.

Mind you, such an object may actually fit into your play-style better than one you have to chase around town.
