Upgrade Extinguisher

Where can I find the fire extinguisher so that I can upgrade it? I can't find it in the fire station.

You get the option when you click on your Sim. It's not really an object you can find somewhere. Good luck ;-)

you have to be a fireman to do it, and I thought I heard you had to be level 5 to get an extinguisher.

Level 5 or 6? Somewhere around the middle of the career... which shouldn't be too hard to reach...

It is indeed level 5. I can definitely confirm this.

Aww okay. It's only one unique upgrade and it's not worth the added 4%

Hmm I might depending on where I am with the challenge and if I need to make it less monotonous. I'm just thinking that the time it would take to get that would be better used getting more upgrades.

Not that i want to give away my strategy or anything...
If you haven't maxed handiness yet, join the career, take 5 days off unpaid, work on your handiness and you'll get to level 5. You do get a unique upgrade for the alarm, but I haven't gotten credit for the firetruck. I'll hit up the extinguisher next then quit the career before I have to actually fight any fires.

YEah it's a little too late for that sadly. Good idea though.

And the fire truck didn't count as unique for me either. And I did all 3 upgrades.

I don't think it counts for anybody, but it seriously looks like a bug. Just an unnoticed one up to now. See the thread here.
