Pregnancy.

Before too long the happy couple discovered that they would no longer be a twosome. A nooboo was on the way.

James was overjoyed at the thought of becoming a father. They both wished for a little girl so Hebe ate watermelons until they practically fell out of her ears.

When Hebe invited her best friend Thea over she was delighted to find out that she wasn't the only one who was expecting.

Normally when a man's wife goes into labour he tends to panic James Douglas Smith is not one of those men. He was calm and serene throughout helping his wife through her breathing. In fact he was so calm he was practically horizontal, even wandering off half way through the process to go play with the cat.

Rachel:Congratulations Hebe.
Hebe:Isn't she beautiful she looks like James.
Rachel:So what are you going to call her.
Hebe:I am going to let James name her.

Rachel:James what are you going to call the baby.
James:Look at her tiny little fingers and her itty bitty nose,oh and her cutie pie ears and...
Rachel:James yes the baby is adorable but we all need to know her name.
James:Who is daddy's little princess then..
Rachel:Yes that is what we want to know.

James:I like you all to meet our daughter Maisy Anne Douglas Smith.

What a beautiful start to your story!  Seeing James and Hebe feels like seeing two old friends getting together.

Douglas is still looking dapper in his tartan :D

I always thought the tartan suited him.  Especially when he had his kilt (hint, hint)!

Rachel

The shorts and tam he's wearing are my version of the tartan.  If you save that, you can use it on whatever you want.  But if you'd like a real authentic Clan Douglas tartan, Gheez has several versions - the traditional green like mine and a grey that is also traditional but less common.  You'll find them here:  http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,4380.0.html

Babies and toddlers oh my.

Hebe and James decided to add to their family and very soon a little one was on the way. Nobody threw any wishes about gender preference so we left it up to fate to decide. Hebe decided to pay her friend Thea a visit and she got to meet Thea's nooboo.

Meet Meredith Voice. I think she looks a lot like her father. Not sure where the orange hair came from but I am loving it.

James is such a proud papa he loves to take Maisy Anne for a walk in her designer stroller. Of course he gets to show of his legs in his new kilt too. Very soon it will be Maisy Anne's birthday and then the really hard work will begin.

Here she is the beautiful Miss Maisy. Doesn't she look adorable in the traditional Douglas tartan.

Maisy Anne is an absolute joy to her parents and Hebe was determined to spend as much time as possible until the arrival of nooboo number two.

Rachel:He's a blueboo.What is his name Hebe?
Hebe:Everyone say hello to our beautiful baby boy Alistair Douglas Smith.

Maisy Anne is adorable in her wee tartan outfit!  And I'm sure James is happy to have his kilt back.   :D

This is such a great story, ratchie!  I was wondering, though, if you should change the name of it.  "A Union Cove DecaDynasty" sounds generic to me and not really special enough for this family.  I'm also thinking that when other Union Cove DecaDynasties get started, it won't stand out like it should.  Do you know what I mean?

It's a bit of a shame that Maisy isn't blue, but she's gorgeous anyway!
