Proposing Marriage to Insane Sims: Tips?

Does anyone have any tips on how to get an insane sim to accept a proposal? I've had success with this once before, but I don't remember what strategy I used. I think it might be that your relationship has to be at 100, but I'm not sure. Not even the LTR "Master of Seduction" works on insane Sims. So . . . yeah.

It might be an idea to get the object of your desires to move in as a friend first then get the insane Sim to do the proposing.

I would do that, however don't last names work differently in the Sims? Whoever does the proposing is the person who keeps the last name in the marriage? If that's the case, this is for a Dynasty. Since the insane sim isn't going to be an Immortal, I don't want her last name to carry over to the immortal. D;

If they end up with the wrong last name just send them to the town hall and change it.

For me, I just had my Sim keep proposing to the insane Sim and he eventually accepted.  She had at least three rejections, though.
