Bug/insects spawning

I got a quest needing some red assassin bug.. but there were no bugs there.

How do I solve this? It's getting frustrating.

Look properly. It's at the edges of the map/hills and desolated areas. Sometimes there are none for the day. You have to wait for another day when they spawn. Or sometimes you try to catch them and you fail, then you'll have to wait another day. Yea, I never liked that quest. Thankfully it's not a tomb related quest(hence, to me, being not important).

Just keep trying, if you have an opportunity sometimes there are tags to show you where the bugs are.

Anyway, if it helps, Assassin Bugs are red in colour, and are very rare(I mean they stand alone). The most I've seen on the China map at one instance was 2.

Unless yesterday's patch broke something, I believe the Assassin bug was fixed a couple patches back.

If you're getting the tags for the assassin bugs, they are there.  The best luck I have is to click on the tag, then zoom the camera in a little further, and never take your eyes from that spot.  It can take a little while, but I'm sure not longer than 30 seconds.  It seems like a long time or that they aren't there, but they should surface and that's when you can click on them.

I agree with Pam, but the paly and pause plays a part in it all! Not just waiting on pause for 30 secs but I have to press play on it! They don't show unless you let the game play on a little bit. (Not on Pause)

If you have an outdated mod installed that removes the censor "blur" (vague enough, Pam?) this may be interfering with the visual appearance of insects.  Try removing any such mod, then looking again.

Okay, when you zoom into the area that the map tag indicates insects are located, do you hear a the noise of insects moving around?  It should be a sort of rustling sound.

Nope I don't hear anything like that... this happened after I reinstalled my game.
