Handiness 100% HELP

Hi I have handiness upgrade at 96% and I did every upgrade in the game, all the upgrades in the Carl's guide, but the guide says:

"Finally, Firefighters can do three upgrades around the fire station. Both the Fire Alarm and Extinguisher can be upgraded, as well as the speed of the Fire Engine. All these upgrades can be done by the time your Sim reaches handiness level 6. Note that the Fire Engine can be upgraded multiple times."

I did the 3 upgrades: the alarm, the extinguisher and lvl 3 the fire engine, I can see the extinguisher, the alarm but I can't see the fire engine. My question is, is that a bug or the fire engine is not a handiness upgrade? I even saw in http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Handiness and it says that Windmill, Solar panel can be upgrade to "More Efficient", so I did but am still at 96%. Does anybody knows what I am missing?

Did you do the teleporter and the food replicator?

It's not forbidden to research and look for help outside of the challenge thread.

The fire engine does not count as an upgrade in the unique upgrades even though you can upgrade it.

What challenge? I did every upgrade in this pages.

Do you have the eco packs that came with the free cars? In them, there was a windmill and solar panels that can be upgraded, although these items can be a little bit dodgy and don't always count to your unique count.

I bought from store the Renault pack. I don't know the name of the pack in English. In spanish is "paquete de evolución". I did the windmill and solar panel upgrade and nothing. Whats the reward in the handiness challenge?

There is no 'reward' for winning the challenge, although there could be something for who is in the lead after all the challenges this year.
As for the windmill and solar panels, that could be your problem. As I said, they should count towards your unique upgrade count, but sometimes they don't. You could try un-installing them and see if that helps to raise your percentage.

Maybe I'm not doing something right here. I have played the Firefighter a couple of times and I don't receive the personal extinguisher at level 5 or any level for that matter. All the other rewards I receive. I have checked the household inventory and the sim's personal inventory and... no extinguisher. Are there any OTHER extinguisher's to upgrade?

Welcome to the forum! You get more help with this on the Ambitions board, but the extinguisher is not visible. You just click on the sim to upgrade it.

Haha, I'm glad I've read this one. Your,previous post confused me.

@doble2: Have,you already fixed this problem? Otherwise I fluorescence you to open up your Skill Panel to compare your list of upgrades with a list of my Sim who already had upgraded everything. That way we faultlessly find out what's wrong.

this is a little embarrassing  .... i was forgetting 1 last upgrade... the handiness upgrade that gives automatically water to the horses (Pets exp)..... now am 100% i didnt know how to post my fail

Awesome! I saw my sim also didn't have that upgrade yet and my upgrade percent stucked at 96%. Now I can go further as wel. Thank you!
