Can someone explain to me building fountain and deleting fountain ?

I was trying to make a fountain in my yard but it turned out ugly , Now I can not delete it , I use the hammer tool but it says "can't delete" ... So can someone please help me by telling me how to delete it , then how to make a good fountain in my yard?

As for deleting don't you just take the fountain tool and press ctrl and drag to delete like you would if you were building a wall? I believe that's how you do it. I'll let a mod know to move it to the building board for you so hopefully some more people can help you out.

Fountains also came with Late Night not Generations. Fountains work the same way as Pools for building and removing them. Only difference is that your Sims can't swim in Fountains. You should be able to do as Kattiq said and either use the Ctrl+Drag option to remove it or use the Sledgehammer tool. Make sure there are not any Water Jets or anything in the pool, that might be what is obstructing you.
