Question about cheat (testingcheatsEnabled True)

I read somewhere on the web that the cheat named above can cause your game to act up.  Well, since I started to use it my current family is freezing up at moments.  It unfreezings after a while.  I'm thinking of making a copy of them and starting over with that instead of the orginal couple.  If I do make the copy will it fix the problem or not?

It should fix it. Testingcheats can make your game go a little or a lot crazy. Just remember next time once you get done using it to just turn it off again.
However, I have not heard of it actually causing your game to freeze up. It could be an entirely different problem like bad CC (which we can't really help you here with), or if you have a lot of extra objects lagging down the speed (like water fountains, gnomes, or anything that works randomly without any help on your part).
I would try making a copy and hopefully that will help!

Something that realy help if your game give these little freezes, is to type resetSim * in the cheat console. It reset the whole town. Do it at night because it cancel everything your sim do.

Like I said it really started to do it yesterday, but it could also be the magical horses gnomes I have.  It worked fine two days ago after I installed Generations.  I don't really want to start over.  Both of my sims have reached their lifetime wishes.  I'll let you all know how it goes today.  I'm about to try.

Could the whole thing be the order that I installed the expansion packs?  I got Ambitions first then Pets and finally Generations.  That's the order I installed them.  It's sorta doing it in my new game.  I'm at this point tried of horses.  In my new game, I haven't used the cheat and it lags at times, but nothing like the other.

Maybe, you could try and reinstall all of them in the order that they were released. Here's a thread on how to do it Starting From the Beginning thread

It didn't lag as I was playing my new family yesterday.  So I don't know if I'll uninstall and reinstall.
