Sims fall through the floor
« on: January 03, 2012, 03:49:27 PM »
Whenever my cat or dog sims are on the second floor they often fall through it to land on the floor beneath it. This is very annoying as they can not reach their food and other suplies. Does someone know a solution for this?

Can you move your sims out and back in again?

this is funny, lol. Could you make a video of it? Haha...

Just kidding. I dont know why this happen to you, but I guess it's a glitch. And my solution for this case is place everything they need on the ground floor ;).

P.s: have your sims had the same problem like your sim's pets? If not, I'm pretty sure it's a glitch.

With moveobjects on? Yes, that is possible, but it's just a temporary solution.

Yes, all sims are having this problem now. Family, pets, visitors, butler. They all rewalk the same routine. I'm almost glad horses can't walk stairs.

Oh no. I meant out of the house Leto. Move them out of the house and then back in.  ;D This should fix it.

Perhaps. But the fact is that when I move my sims out of their house, the house itself will be shown very strange in town. Like you can see through it, if you know what I mean. It's more the green ground I see with here and there an item.
Very strange.
Another strange thing I've found is that as soon as I pop out my sim of their house, the value of the house got increased by like... 500% or so! It was near $3000.000 million simdollars, now it got rated as 8 mil! Very, very strange indeed.

And no, this didn't solved the problem. :(

Oh.  :( Then am afraid I can't help. I don't know but I think it's a glitch you may have. Err, exit out the game and clear your DCBackups or Caches?

That is one horrendous glitch, Leto. Your house is the problem, how about saving the house to the bin and then trying to place it again?

Have you tried demolishing the floor space that's causing the problem?  Maybe all the floor in that room?  Then replacing it?  Maybe take out a single wall so it becomes a "not-room" and then re-enclosing it so it becomes a room again, then replace the floor.  I'm just thinking that this happens with stairs sometimes.  They become unusable and for some reason replacing them makes a difference.

It happens on so many floors it's impossible to see all the problems.

Actually, since this happen: my sims couldn't even travel to another country anymore as well, as I arive in that country with a sims panel, without a single sim to play with.

Hmm, that's it. I will add this family to a new town. Let's hope that will fix the problem.

Leto I once have the problem where the house is semi invisable in map view. I move the house to another lot and it solved it.

I know. That part of the problem was solved for me as well. But the others still occure.
I've now saved a new town with the house replaced and the family reintroduced in the house. Tomorrow I will see if these problems still occure to me.
