Heartbreaker LTW - is it true, that...?

I want to hear something clear from people who have been playing the Sims 3 for many more hours than I have:

Taking World Adventures into account and the latest patches there are two bugs which make it impossible to complete the Heartbreaker LTW:

-you can be declared boyfriend/fiance/husband(girlfriend/fiancee/wife) only once.
-you could have a spare family in Egypt/China/France (Has anyone here brought a case from France? My Marlene Verne has children from both remaining locations)

Yes, that's correct.  I've been thinking of testing the Heartbreaker LTW because of these recent issues.  It's one I haven't played yet and could be interesting.

The thing with these bugs are, you don't know until you try them! I have one game where I can't then one where I can, some people have also said that a certain person causes the problem not just the sim you are playing with.

I completed a sim with the heartbreaker LTW just before my single-shot-at-making-a-girlfriend problems came up after WA. Talk about luck in your misfortune!

Seriously though, my hypothesis would be that people who experiences these bugs would then logically be unable to complete that LTW, but it would be great if someone could test that.

I guess I did the testing of this without really thinking about it.  I had made two sims for each other, they romanced, woohooed and everything else that goes with the relationship and became engaged to the sim.  He met someone else and they really hit it off, all he could do was think of the sim, so I did the enteraction, just be friends.......he moved out and proceeded to marry the other one without a problem.  Another couple, I did the same thing with and used the interaction, breakup and could not get the enteraction for going steady or anything, not sure if there is a difference in using breaking up or just be friends.  That is what happened with mine anyway, so I have tried a few others with "just be friends" after they were engaged and was still able to proceed with engagement of another sim.  This was right after WA was installed and this was with the Heartbreaker LTW.

The "just friends" option comes up when the other Sim is just a Romantic Interest, and it's no problem, you still can have multiple romantic interests. "Break up" means you were the Sim's girlfriend/boyfriend or something like that, and you can't be one more than once in WA.

I had a sim complete the Heartbreaker LTW just yesterday. I have all the current patches. A Sim may only have one boyfriend or girlfriend at a time, but nothing stops you from breaking up with your current beau and moving on.

Thanks for that information, DLSpurlock.  Do you also have World Adventures installed?
