Help... Pets food

Hi.  I'm new to this and this is not my language, but let me try.  I have a family with level 10 in cooking skill, but the new recipes (food for pets) doesn't appear on my list (they were level 10 before the Pets expansion).  The book shop doesn't have it.  Can somebody tell me how I can learn those recipes?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
You should be able to just click on the fridge to get the option to make gourmet pet food. There is no recipe book for it.

If this is a family you started before pets, you won't have the option of pet food. But someone said you must let your sim watch the cooking channel. That way they can learn it.

I did try the 2 options, watching food channel and clicking the fridge, but nothing.  I can't get those recipes.

Did you have any sims with no cooking skill? When they learn cooking and get to level one. They can make the gourmet pet food.

I added a new Sim to the family to see the recipes.  The new Sim learned the recipes at level 1, but not the others.  Is that a bug or do I need another way that I can't figure out?

The other sims can only learn it from televsion. Or you can try and find a townie with the trait natural cook and learn the recipie from them.

Did you let your sim watch the cooking channel long enough? My sim mastered lvl 10 in cooking before Pets, like yours. She learned the pet foods fairly quick while watching TV. It was faster that the usual rate of learning recipes from TV, I think. Good luck!

...and it's apparently totally random; I've had a sim watch the cooking channel for hours and not get the pet food recipes. I hope you're luckier than I am.

They watched the food channel for 1 week (1 week in the game, not real life) and nothing.  I want to ask something else.  I bought the book of spells from the Store and I can't use it.  Does anyone know why?  And the last question...  I have level 10 in gardening, but I didn't get the opportunity to get the Omni seeds and growing steak, egg, cheese, and burgers.  Can I still get that?  If the answer is yes, how can I get those opportunities?

I don't know anything about the spellbook. To get the oppertunity, don't accept any other oppertunity than gardening. Keep it open only for garden opps.

Hello, I have a problem with pet food too!

My sim cannot fill the bowl. Whenever I however over the bowl it won't let me do anything?!
Does she need to have a cooking skill point or something?
I went to shop but couldn't see anything there either?
I had to come off the game because the little woofy was starving and I was starting to panic!
 
Any help would be appreciated!!

Yay!  The food channel works.  I was watching another channel.  With the food channel, they learned the pet recipes.

Try not to put the bowl near the wall.  Maybe it is too close to the walls.  Try another kind of bowl.  You can always put Sims food on the floor and the pet can eat it.
