Chapter Fifteen: The Influence of Young Love:So it seems that little got in the way of everyday life in this family. Honestly, a lot of my family life just. . . well, just is.
Aunt Agnes continues to paint,
while Father has really found his niche as the cook of the family.
He's also the resident repairman, it seems. Uncle Cycl0n3 breaks that thing consistently.
Mother still frantically tends her garden, worrying about if she can top out her career in time,
and she goes looking for special seeds with the collection helper Father got her, hoping against hope that they're money tree seeds.
Celeste has followed her artistic streak further, sculpting first in wood,
then in ice.
I think she might need a bit more practice before she can mimic Aunt Agnes' never-melting sculptures. . .
But all that got put aside on Prom night. True to her word, Celeste agreed to go with me.
We weren't crowned Prom King or Queen, but that was fine; the company was more then good enough.
When I got home, I needed some air.
But after that, Celeste and I were attached at the hip. We knew we were meant for each other.
But it wasn't just us.
Uncle Cycl0n3 showed Aunt Agnes that she was still beautiful, even if she was an Elder. Honestly, they acted like small children.
Celeste says that we're contagious.
I'm not sure quite what she meant. . . .
