Chapter Eleven: Childhood and Growing Old:Hello all. I know my updates are slower, but between getting my hands on Mass Effect 3 (which I'm liking so far), and Real Life deciding to throw a whole bunch of stuff at me, I'm not Simming as much, and even when I am playing, I'm not updating. So if stuff slows down, that's why. )Hello all! Mother gave me this journal to record my own thoughts in; so I might as well give it a try.
My name is Nicolas Conell, and I'm going to be immortal one day. Mother works so very hard at it, and I will too once I grow up. She thinks I don't know, she hasn't told me yet, but I wondered why she worked so hard in her garden. That, and both her and Father were worried about not finding money trees. It's not like we -need- the money, (though having something stashed aside is always good), so it had to be another reason.
Most people would get all worked up about being a maybe-immortal. It's actually kind of boring.
We share family dinners (Father's an incredible cook),
He tries to teach me a bit as we watch the Cooking Channel, but cooking's not really my thing.
I go to school,
and I do my homework with my, well, I suppose she's not really my sister, is she, even if it feels like it. We've grown up together.
Oh, I told her she could sit on my bed, but no, she said she was comfortable on the floor. She's a bit odd like that.
Don't tell Mother, but she's better at getting to school on time then I am. . . but she'll share the front seat of the school bus with me. We talk on the way to school.
Celeste is only a bit younger then me, but I think she's glad about having her own room and being out of her crib.
She loves to paint,
and helps out around the house when things are quiet.
She and I love to pillow fight once our homework is done.
You know, I kind of feel bad for the grown-ups. They have so much stuff to do for this whole Dynasty thing. I suppose that will be me when I'm older. I hope I can do something I like. I'd like to work in the Garden, but Mom's already doing that, so I'll have to find something else.
But Aunt Agnes (I suppose that's the best name for her), painted Mother's portrait and hung it downstairs. It helps the ritual. Mother won't say how. It happens to all of the maybe-immortals.
And Mother came back after Delivering some Cheese to the Bistro. She has to help out the community when the opportunities arise, and she says I will as well.
While mother was busy, Father said he didn't want a party for his Adult Birthday. He said he didn't want to think about that he was growing old.
I don't know. I don't think he looks any older.
And after that, Mother and Father had what Uncle Cycl0n3 called 'Private Time.' I just think he didn't want to answer my questions about what they were really doing in there.
I guess that's it for this time; I'm off to go play with Celeste!
