The girls look lovely in their prom dresses.

Thanks. :) I love the Sims formalwear, I wish they'd wear it more often.

I hope some young man move in soon.

Elshana's husband is coming soon, I promise.  But there was almost no one in town. . . Since those screenshots were taken, I've installed Nrass' Story Progression, because my town was almost totally de-populated!

Congrats on 25 ice sculpters!

I really think it gets easier to get those 25 sculptures every time I try. .  :D

Chapter Thirty-Five: So, You Want to be a Thief When You Grow Up?

Hello again, dear scrapbook!  So, guess what!  On returning from vacation, I got enough royalties from all the books I've written that I'm officially a professional author!

Imoen's -still- sculpting away.  I think she likes it, even if she's not the most artistic person in the world. . .

She's also taken to ambushing Mom with pillows.

Grandma's being a bit odd about the Dynasty Museum, downstairs.  She says since Imoen and I both have our birthdays coming up, she wants to make sure everything is finished.

Grandma's Corner:

Dad's Corner:

My Corner:

I don't know what Grandma Elisha's worrying about.  Everything's fine in there. . .

Well, as much as a whole bunch of enchanted artifacts designed to stand in for the family in a magical ceremony could ever be defined as 'fine.'

Ahem. . .  Anyway. . .

Mom made Grandma stop worrying, at least during our birthdays.  Like always, Imoen and I stepped up to the cakes.

First me;

then Imoen.

I love the faces she made!

However. . . this is the moment where my sister announces that she wants to be a Master Thief.

I think I'm just going to escape to the dresser and mirror now. . .

Thank you.  They grew up quite well. :)

I like it.  The only thing I don't like is the fact that most of the Criminal Career is Night Shifts.  Makes it hard to get the family together.

Great update.

Thanks!

Chapter Thirty-Six: Pre-Graduation Trip:

I enjoy writing in China.  It's relaxing.

Imoen, however, is still hunting around for treasure.

The two of us work quite well together, I think.

I took a break from my writing, though, to talk to a few of the locals.

His name is Ho Sung, and we hit it off quite well.

So well, in fact, that we ended up chatting for most of the day.

Mom suggested that I invite him back to Sunset Valley.  I just might.  He's actually quite sweet; and a very good talker.

Wait, why am I listening to Mom's advice?  She's the one who's currently loosing to Imoen.

Mom aside, once we got back, it was time for graduation!

I still think Imoen makes the most hilarious faces.  Just. . . don't mention I said that.

Yeah, Imoen seems to be one of the Sims who makes the great faces.  I wish I could catch more of them with screenshots!

Chapter Thirty-Seven: Whirlwind Wedding:

So Mom kept at my Sculpture,

while Imoen, still not out of her grad robes, started tinkering with the Washing Machine.

I took Mom's advice, and invited Ho Sung to stay with us for a few days.  It was nice to have someone to talk to other then family.

We talked,

and acted like small children,

and I even spilled the Dynasty to him, and my worries of loosing both my mother and sister.  He didn't think I was crazy, he just took me into his arms.

The words spilled out of my mouth before I really thought them through.  I wanted to know if he had anyone important for him back in China.

The answer was no, and it set my mind at ease.  I'd already told him so much. . . I realized that I actually had feelings for him!  He was a good bit my senior, but it didn't matter.
When I stammered that out, he just kissed me.

It was then that I knew what I had to do, and I didn't have a lot of time.  I couldn't bear to see him go back to China.

I am glad he said yes, though!  I would have made quite a fool of myself, otherwise!

Dad had other good news.   The Nectar we'd been keeping aged up so well, that his first batch of Nectar Great-Grandma took to the consignment store got him to the top of his career!

Dad wanted to see our wedding.  Everyone did.  So, Ho Sung cancelled his ticket home, and we had a quiet wedding right in the dining room.

I don't think I could be happier.

Yes, I know that according to the Wiki Ho Sung was in a relationship.  According to the game, though, he wasn't.  Maybe Story Progression broke them up?

Also, I found out upon moving him in that he's only got a few days to Elder. That's a bit of a surprise, but not necessarily a bad thing.

Anyway:

Chapter Thirty-Eight: Elders and Young Ones:

So Ho Sung and I did, I think, what most newly-wed couples do.

While my Dad celebrated his birthday just outside on the patio.

I feel bad – he didn't start cheering until I'd gone through the door, so I didn't even notice!

Mom celebrated her Birthday only a day later.

I wish I was in a better mood to celebrate. . .

Thank you. :)  I do really love playing with the clothing.  As much as I sometimes miss Sims 2, Sim 3 is just -so- much better for the clothing.

Chapter Thirty-Nine:  Newcomer:

Ho Sung, despite being quite a bit my senior, was a doting father, willing to oblige his wife's needs, however odd,

while still at least trying to bond with his young son or daughter.

Dad posed as needed for the Dynasty,

while Ho Sung and I found our love kindling even more over the little one inside me.

I said I wanted a home birth, and I was going to do just that . . . no matter how much it -hurt!-

But I welcomed my son Dakell into his nursery just after midnight.

I think he's the best thing in the universe.
