Hey, I've decided that I want to try out this new Union Cove neighborhood, but for it to work I would probably need to uninstall my only EP, World Adventures. The thing is, I don't know if it will work so I would like to save my Sims Nectars, Photos, Artifacts, etc. Is it possible to do this, even if I were to uninstall World Adventures and then reinstall it (incase UC does not work)?

Hi there and welcome to the forum!
What I would recommend you to do is backing up your save file completely. That way you still have your old files to get back to if you like later.
All your nectar, photographies et cetera are still intact. :)

Would I just copy the file with my family and put it somewhere else, and then if I were to reinstall World Adventures, put it back?

Yes. :) Just copy your Sims 3 folder (Inside the Electronic Arts folder which should be inside the Documents) and then paste it somewhere else, I put mine in the Documents folder. Then uninstall WA, do what you have to do, and if you do re-install WA just take it and place it back inside your Electronic Arts folder. :) So yeah, what you said. ^_^

After you've installed Union Cove, you perhaps want to reinstall World Adventures again. If so you, better place your save files back AFTER you've installed the expansion pack. That way your items are still intact.

I have a question about this: why would one have to uninstall WA to install Union Cove? Are they not compatible or is it more of a hardware problem, that it affects loading time or something? Would be great to know -  I really want to download Union Cove, it's amazing the amount of work folks here at the forum has put down, it looks completely awesome!  :D

I assume it's because it's better as some expansions may conflict with selfmade worlds.
World Adventures seems like a decent problem example for that.
