Understood, I just didn't want to offend any of the modders by showing any changes to their lots or makeovers (since this is a thank you thread).  My new thread was a little more explicit with a different title--members could choose to look at it or not, this way they are forced to and I really didn't want that but thank you anyway for merging.  I hope I didn't offend you, either, Pam.

I've gone ahead and removed my stuff, it's not fair to the others who are wishing to find homes as they are.  I've enjoyed playing in this world and I thank all the creators who built such a great place!

As one of those who built quite a few of the places in UC, no problem Saturn.  It's all a matter of taste.  I personally happen to love the color, pink.  Not everyone is going to want something all frou frou frilly, and not everyone is going to want a home with tons of "stuff" in it,  so no harm or bad feelings if you change something we built. It was our gift to the forum and however the forum enjoys playing is fine.  I remodel some of the places, (even my own!), when I play my personal games in UC and sometimes it's interesting to see how there is a different take on a build.  Just recently I decided I didn't want the run down, slum section to look so ratty so went in and remodeled all but two of the builds to upgrade them.  They are still low cost living but now nice and tidy.  No brambles allowed.  lol  No slums in UC for me.  (Unrealistic but it fits my ocd requirement for neatness.)
What?  Grannies can't play games?

There is a starter farm built by Anushka, just across from the Grange and close to all the horsey stuff, that I just love.  It's a tiny, affordable house built on a really big lot so there is plenty of room for a gardener or animal loving Sim.  You can do anything you want here with lots of room to grow and make this into a new mansion if you wish or a really fine horse ranch.  It's the lot I always choose for starter Sims and challenges.

Just wanted to say, I'm currently loving simming in Union Cove!

In my latest 'metal run' I've managed to find two vampire eyes. Previously I'd never found any.

Also, I found the basement in the fishing/gardening in the ruins lot quite by accident. I sent my gardener/fisher there and set them to gardening all the plants, and then he disappeared ... I recentered the camera on him, and there he was, below ground gardening.

Love the world, thanks to all on the top secret forum world team for producing such a wonderful world for our simming pleasure.

My only complaint is, I wish I had gotten around to exploring it fully sooner. Which is more a complaint about myself than the world. :)

Dek
PS even if my Boa immortal family crashed and burned early on (but that was me not saving, I suspect) my challenge file there seems to be playing nicely.

The graveyard in Union Cove is a giant lot over by the Addams Family house and a few of the other gothic style homes.  It has four mausoleums on it.

Also, Genevive, in map view, the icon is not the 'classic' sims 3 graveyard icon, but rather an Arboretum icon. The lot is now called the 'Fae Ray Arboretum'. I'm playing using the Seasons version of Union Cove, so I'm not sure if it is any different for the other version available for download.

I got word from a friend that said Union Cove was reviewed by Wisteria, a Sims 3 Youtuber. I was excited to hear about that so I grabbed the link and wanted to share:
