Hi, it looks fantastic. I've got a some of questions. How big is the file to download? I think I read that you can play it with just the base game? (But that only has a guitar and I saw a great pic of people playing bass and drums). Also, I've got the xbox version which has lovely small community lots by a group of say three houses, which makes socialising really conveniant! (it was a small open space with a pond a chess table and a grill, and a swing just opposite my sim's house) Does Union Cove have these smaller, community lots by houses, or just the bigger ones like parks further away?

Yes it is! He is a lovely Sim, I bet he enjoyed the heart shaped pool in that house the most:D Schipperke made some really awesome Sims!

Thanks, file is around 123mb, it can be played with just a base game, but there is no bridge to 3 houses across the river and several lots and trees are changed. You'll need to use saved file to play it without any or all EP's. As for lots - there are several themed neighborhoods with community lots near by - rich mansions have fishing spot and exclusive lounge near by, asian street has fusion lounge and zen park, poor neighborhood have dive bar, junkyard even criminal HQ is busy with sims, there are several town houses around town center, then farming area with several community lots in the middle related to pets and cowboy dance club, beach villas are having a beach, pier hangout, local watering hole, and cat jungle, suburban area have salon and laundromat, and on the other part dog park, modern area have pool, diner and 2 clubs and gym is close too, spooky area have graveyard and vampire lounge in the middle. I think only fairy cottages and 3 remote houses accross the river are not having community lots close by for fast socializing and losing that stir crazy moodlet. I often find it hard to chose where to send my Sim and good thing is most of these lots are close enough for a Sim to visit even with a stroller :D Sims in UC seems to be happy with their world and they tend to go out and keep lots busy all the time.

(Thank you for such a detailed answer Anushka. (BTW I read the competition thread about building an artist's hideaway - I think it was - and I loved yours the best, it was so natural and leafy with litle nooks for artists,  I wish I had it in my town in RL) )

WOW!!  :D  I wish EA had hired you guys to design the town for the base PC game. I'm finding it really boring. Maybe EA planned it that way so we'd have to buy new content. Or is that just me being cynical?  ;)  I'm actually fine with the concept of buying new content, it's just the base game feels so plain you have to buy new content. (just my opinion obviously) The xbox version has skill items all over town (easel, chessboards, telescopes, a small community garden. I'm planning on playing a game and levelling up all skills to level 5 without buying any skill items, inc books)

Anyway, if I buy the World Adventures EP I know that will give me the trees, will it also give me the bridge? And will that EP be enough to give me all the features or do I need to also get another one? I don't really want showtime or I can't remember the name of the other one off hand but the one with celebrities. But World Adventures and Generations really appeals.

I got some more pictures. I only managed to play for 5-10 minutes before crashing.   ::) Still got some good ones though.

Charlie Sheen and Hebe Smith discovered they were both Insane one of a kind. ;D

Jeana gave Pam a makeover (autonomously!), and of course, Pam was not a happy camper. I'm so sorry Pam, but I couldn't resist the look on your face. This is about as far from reality as you're going to get! I would never give a client that outfit. :))

And of course, Sandy Claws. ;D

Union Cove is probably the only town in the world where you can wake up, go jogging with the Dreamweavers, play hopscotch with Charlie Sheen, teach Pam's bird how to talk in a loving tune, and spend the night at Carl's mansion. Always a good time playing in Union Cove.  :)

Just downloaded this game last night.  Love it.  Couldn't help but start playing with Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler.  They already have a baby girl.  Of course I named the baby Shamy.

Sorry I missed seeing your post before, Trentorio.  I am rather proud of Peregrine Pickle, as he helped me win the only Challenge I've ever won here.  It was called "Following Romantic Interests to the Letter" and it was a couple of years ago.  Mr Heart-Shaped Tattoo managed to rack up more romantic interests in the available time than any other contender!  If memory serves, the only Sim in Sunset Valley not in love with Peregrine when the contest closed was Buster Clavell (a hard case).  If you'd like to see more about the Challenge, the thread can be found here:  http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,1413.0.html

I relocated Agnes Crumplebottom to Union Cove and decided she needed some love in her life. I went with Barnabas Collins (Dark Shadows 2012 version).

Here they are gazing at the stars (not yet together)

Agnes is clearly smitten after being asked to go steady ^_^

My simself's victorian re-located to Union Cove...with the creepy ice cream truck moseying over. Moved the "Character" house to a new location.

View from my back yard! You can see the gardens/ruins to the right. :)

I must say, this world is GORGEOUS!
Off saving Zelda *again*

I searched the library most carefully, upstairs and down, and placed the case with the toddler books along the wall across the entryway from the castle bookshelf. I had to move one of the beanbags to make room.

I was looking at the world again, checking out all the familiar townies from the forum, when I ntoiced that for Velmoor De D'Onlyn's age meter, it says his next age up is "never" as opposed to the normal Elder age meter, which simply says an age. Does that mean that Velmoor will never die?  ???

Huh, that's possible, though I didn't think I gave the immortal version over, in fact I'm pretty sure I didn't... I wonder what happened?

Edit: Yup he totally starts out immortal, he must be a later version of himself then I thought.  If you need an older, mortal copy, just let me know.

That's pretty cool! I didn't realize you could make a Sim immortal from the start.

That's strange. He died about three weeks into my game.
