Looking forward to reading it Metro.  At the beginning, never realized how much money you could make from tips, but the more compositions my sim plays, the bigger the tips.  She only knows 150 right now, but I am going to keep going on this one.  The more you read in here the more you learn.  Thanks.

I think Metro must have the insanity trait to get a sim up to that many performances.  :D

The most i've ever gotten a sim up to was around 200 performances.

No argument here.

My sim is getting a little over 1,000 for tips, but she has a job and she writes, so, she is doing pretty good so far.

:D  Seriously, I never thought about it much but now I'm having Jon Lessen increase his performances.  I'm only up to around 40 and already he's making between 200-300 in tips. :o  I've never had a guitarist make even that much before.  His wife, Renee is rather peeved with me though.  She loves to listen to her husband play the guitar but when I'm deleting the performances immediately after he starts them she doing a lot of yelling and arm waving. :D

I've been playing this game since it came out and I'm amazed at this discovery.  Thanks Metro.  Don't think I'm ever going to come close to the number of times performing as you have though. :P

On one guy, I got the number up to 1000 and that's as many as he's going to get! It took alot of patience to get him up that high! I can't imagine over 2000!

I have a question.  My sim has finally gotten up to 250 performances and when she plays for tips, she is getting around 600-800 per tip.  But I have noticed that now when she performs for tips outside the theater and on the weekends, only about half the amount of sims are showing up, about 6-8, and after only several hours of playing she automatically stops because someone is upset...over what, I have no idea. ::)  I guess that someone being upset is making her stop cause the que to perform is x'ed out and has the upset sim's pic there.  Not fair!  Has this happened to anyone else?

This has happened to my sims several times.  Usually it's a crying baby that makes my sim stop playing.  I can understand them not wanting to play with that noise going on, but it's a little annoying to find that your guitar player has wandered off to do something else while you were busy with another character.

Is your sim good? As in trait-wise!  ;) - Metro has suggested placing food out on the floor!

I've also had a death interrupt the guitar playing.  But I'm able to start it right back up again and have even had Grim stick around and throw in a couple of tips.

It was a typical amount for whatever the crowd was paying.  I don't remember the exact amount.  :)

It's a funny feature that he can tip you, but where is he getting his money from? Government sponsoring? :)
Manbearpig simply wants to get you. I'm super cereal. - Al Gore :)

I am finally up to a little over 4000 for tips, then it goes back down to around 1500 to 2000.  So far made over 1,000,000 in tips, nice job to have.  My sim is almost an elder, so think will go to painting when she does.  I am not pushing her, so it has been alot of fun to do the guitar skill.  Love the outfit on the rock star for the female, wonder how it would look on her when she becomes elder, if it is still available, scary thought, lol.
