Thanks! I guess I'll have to see when I actually play it.

No I haven't downloaded it yet. Thanks for the reassurance, I can now move to UC in peace. Really looking forward to it.

Ok, I love the world, and it looks amazing.  But I haven't downloaded it for the following reasons.
1. I don't know If my computer can handle a world that detailed.
2.  Um, it has showtime right?  Yeah, I don't have the required expansion packs.
3.  I think it's so detailed that it might not be exactly healthy for my graphics card.  I'll probably have some real graphic issues with it.

But I would love to download it!

1. Some can and some can't. I can play it reasonably well yet some people with better computers have been unable to, I guess it just depends on your own PC. My Card isn't even supported and the only thing I really get is lag and at one point I had random crashing but fixed that.
2. The latest version comes with Showtime Upgrades, a few new lots and some of the items to make the careers work but nothing major really. If you don't have all the EPs you need the Save File.
3. You may get Graphic Issues but like I said it depends on your own PC, there isn't really anyway to predict how it will behave for you as it seems to be fairly different for everyone. Some people dip their settings when playing the world, it still retains most of it's beauty though! It's recommended to really reduce the Detailed Lots.

Two strange questions:

1. Was there any custom sky/light parameters set by messing with the INI files? This is mostly a matter of curiosity to me.

2. Does anyone reproduce under EA's Story Progression? Once I feel like doing an immortal dynasty, I really want to do it in UC, but I don't want a town of immigrants 1 generation into playing.

Yes, our implanted "townies" do reproduce randomly, acquire pets randomly, and do pretty much anything any other Sim in any other town would.  I've been playing there off and on for a few days just to see what would happen and was surprised by a few new babies and new pets that I did not personally have them acquire.  It did seem if the family already had a few children no new ones showed up.  The townspeople also age appropriately.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

I had to join the forum just so I could share my joy...and check the challenges!

No matter what word I think of, it only seems to put it mildly but... zomg this world is amazing! It's so beautiful! It's perfect! Thank you all who created this jewel! ;D  It runs smoothly with some high, medium and low graphics settings. All my families are moving there! :D

Welcome to the forum Cassi and thank you!  Please let us know how your families do in UC!  We really love hearing about how Sims act and react and also if there are any problems.

So happy, turns out some of the mods I was using were doing more harm than good, and now I've ditched them I can play UC. ;D

Kinda creepy how my beginning sim that I created in that world had 3 of the same traits as Damon, with me not knowing any of the sims pretty much, and he was the first male sim she met in the world...o.O

Hello, all :)

My name is Ashley and I am new to the forums.

I had a few questions about this world that I was hoping you could answer (if you don't mind):

1.) I was skimming over the lots listed but I can't really see pictures so I couldn't really tell
-Is there a kid's playground/park somewhere?
-Is there a "campground" lot that has tents and some sort of grilling section for those who are poor or the nature type?
-Does the graveyard or another lot have some sort of church building/area for a wedding?

2.) Are all of the residents custom made and if they are, do they all have interesting stories/dynamics (single, couple, big family, crazy cat lady, etc.) ?

3.) Is there sufficient empty lot space for any lots I have saved and enough houses to move in saved townies?

3.) Will this continue to be updated for Supernatural, Seasons, and any future EPs?

Sorry for all of the questions I just want to make sure that this world is as practical as it is gorgeous. If the lots I've asked are not included, are there areas where they would fit perfectly, or anyone who would be willing to make those?

Thank you to all who have contributed to this world! I didn't look through all of the pages--the beginning and the last few pages--so if there are pictures of this world I have missed, my apologies.

There is playground equipment at Central Park and possibly other lots but there isn't a specific playground lot. Neither is there a Campground but there are cheap lots for poorer sims and an apartment. There are grills around on the lots.

There isn't a Church or wedding area but there is plenty of beautiful scenery for a wedding, most community lots have fantastic views which are all over the world.

They are all custom made by the team or by people on our very forum. Many of them come from stories on the forum so you can read all about their history. Some are also modern versions of historical figures.

Currently it isn't planned simply because of how large the world is and constant upgrades take time and can cause problems. That isn't set in stone though but like I say currently there are no plans to keep updating, we settled for just updating for Showtime since it required a few new Lots. Whereas not all EPs will provide additional lots.

Ah, thank you kindly for your response :)

Is there a certain lot that you can think of that would fit the campground or wedding arch without looking cluttered or would I need to buy one of the cheap lots and decorate?

Also, is there an album that contains Union Cove pictures or anything? I absolutely love pictures ;D

Yeah there is space on various lots for you to place a campsite or wedding arch. There are also a few empty lots around. See the Exploring Union Cove Thread for some pics.  ;)
