I have one small item to add to the list of bugs unplanned features.

There is a plaque on the gazebo in the cemetery, but my sim thinks he can't get to it even though he's right in front of it.  I moved it in Edit Town to a regular wall and it works fine.

By the way, it's a beautiful cemetery Joria!

I'm finally able to play too and I must say I really love this! Even in low settings it looks amazing and there is much to discover! I still need to visit the open air market. (only got to play a little yesterday, due to school projects :( ...) But thank you guys so much for making it!

I have to add my amazement and thanks to everyone elses...this world is wonderful!  I can not imagine the amount of work that went into it.

I wanted to share my experience trying to play the world because it might help others.  I have all expansion packs but a few months ago, I uninstalled Late Night.  I was so tired of vampire and celebrities.  So I first tried the regular way to install UC.  The installation went fine but when I tried to start a game with that world, my Sims crashed.   I removed the world, then tried using the Save file.   This time the button to select that world said something about not having game features required to play it.   I had about given up when I decided to reinstall Late Night, just to see if it made a difference.   I downloaded the world again from regular link, started a new game in UC and it runs great!  No idea why installed Late Night made a difference but that was the only thing I did differently.

Thanks again for the creativity and teamwork that resulted in this beautiful world.  Now the hard part....where do I start playing!  ;D

Thank you.  Now I have to go see what plaque it is!  It was the first thing I built there and I have no idea what's there anymore!  Guess I'd better look around.

Someone on the other forum said they couldn't get to the grills at the swimming pool because of fences.  The "fences" are those flat ones often used for borders in flower beds.  I thought Sims would step over those?  Let me know if anyone else has a problem with them and we'll fix them in the update.

EDIT:  Just wanted to say I have an inadequate video card since Generations, yet I am able to play Metro's latest challenges without changing a single thing in Union Cove.  Yes, it's very, very slow and I have to save, and then exit or it crashes, but it is doable and so much fun.  I doubt I'll have very good scores since I'm having such a blast playing there!  Anushka, I moved into your little starter farmhouse and it was a perfect, (and cheap), first house for someone who wanted a horse!
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

It seems that the people moving out in my game were at least mostly (if not entirely) composed of NPCs, not townies, so that makes me happy.

One little thing, that was actually more funny than anything else, the gender specific doors at The Slurred Speakeacy are backwards. The girls door is on the bathroom with the urinal, my girl Sim was very confused as to why she couldn't get into the other bathroom. It actually took me awhile to figure out why she couldn't get into what I thought should be the ladies room :D

@Juxtaposition - LOL Noting the issue, but it is very funny ;D
@Joria - Thanks, that is exactly what I was hoping for; cheap, practical and with plenty of space for stables, gardens etc, and still pretty to look at ;D
I think I'm to blame for plaquete - I was hoping to place one on all lots, but after cemetary I realised it won't be easy and practical. And forgot to remove the plaquete.. Pool barbique works for my Sims!
@Justwright, thank you! If you now uninstall LN you should still be able to load Saved file from Union Cove. For it to work without some EP's you need to have both installed UC and saved file in saves, and use that save to start the game.

NPC's in my game have rather funny names, my Sim is trying to decide if he like Cherry Pie or Eartha Moved more. Or Chiquita Ham ;D

I think Union Cove is laid out much better than Appaloosa for raising horses.  Maybe not quite as many open spaces for enlarging farms but no need with so many to choose from.  The great part is they are all right there near to the training center and Equestrian thing.  As a matter of fact, so close I have to walk my horse there so it doesn't get there too soon and then get bored.  There really is no place in town my Sim can't get to super fast, even if it's taking a taxi or just jogging.  Ana you did a really good job with layout!

Does Union Cove work for Mac too? And this may sound stupid but how do I download it? I have all expansions but TownLife and Pets at the moment well I have them just not installed right now? I went to the download link and it brings up another page with more links but I have never done this before so I wanted to make sure I do it right. Do I click all the mirror links and download all of those or what?
Thanks in advance!

I'm very pouty about this world right now. It crashes and won't let me save.  :'( I was about to do a story about Agnes Crumplebottom and her puppy Lollypop.

As far as CC goes, I only have a few hair and clothes pieces from places I know and trust and I only download hair color, patterns, redesigns of EP/Base Game or Store content. from the exchange. The custom patterns I have are mostly Ausette's and Gheez' creations, and 98% of them are from the swap shop. I turned down my settings, too. I always do a virus scan just to be sure. I'll be buying SP's pretty soon, after MS is released. I'll just end up buying the others.

I have a nice HD monitor, (no more 32 bit) Nvidia GT 520 (Sims 2 is the only other game I play) and at least 4GB of RAM.

Chose just one, any of them, but one is enough. I never used Mac, but it works as any lot/sim/object you download from Swap Shop - once you download the installation file do the same as you do with with other Sim3Pack. files. If you don't have Pets installed you should download saved game too, it is in archive, and you treat it as one of your  own backed up saves - place it with other saved files. You need to have both the world installed and saved file placed, and start the game from that saved file if you don't have Pets.

It does that to most of us if we set graphic settings on high. I have to play it on everything low to save it without error 12 and without crashes. In this tread there are 2 solutions for those who have more than 2GB or RAM, but most likely you'll just need to lower the settings in your game to play it without issues.

When I first go into my game to play UC (at the main menu) and I lower the settings, I always get a message saying I should restart the application or my game will run with serious issues. Should I just quit and load it up again or should I just start my file?
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

Quit and start again. You can change settings in main menu, but still need to exit the game and start again.

Thank you Anushka! I think I will just wait till I install Pets in a few days because I know a lot of the families have pets so without it I don't know if once I installed pets if they would then have what they were intended to! I have waited this long a few more days won't kill me! Thank you though!

I like this world! I've been playing it for a while now, and it's running very smoothly. I've just seen one very small issue: It seems that the mailbox outside the "Downtown Dorms" apartment building is facing the wrong way; at least my Sim couldn't use it until I went to edit the lot using a cheat and turned it around.

Thanks to all the creators who made the world! And thanks also for the website and forum; I really like all the guides on the main website.
