Yep! If you don't feed it for 7 days, it starves. A little difference with its parent in the Sims 2.

And from what I've read on some mod site, where someone looked into the code, I don't think the cow plant can kill npc's. So maybe it's also harmless on community lot.

Yeah, it should be. Would be pretty unwanted if your town population started to decimate, without you knowing how.

Yeah, but without sounding too evil or completely bloodthirsty, I mean... it's the whole point of the Cow Plant: hazardous death  ;D If we can only use it on active Sims, the "beast" is not so interesting anymore. At least to me... :insert evil laugh:

Well Leto, I can tell you as for the botanical sims getting more interaction with it.. your Max Skills was eaten by it twice! But it was very hard for me to get him not to feed and play with it. I had gotten the plant to hopefully eat the paperazzi.. But poor old Max was the one that kept taking the bait, that is why I have the plant on comunity lots.
I don't know if its killing people. I have seen no Tombstones. But when I went to the cemetary with Elvira slayer she was able to scold/praise, and milk it!
she is evil so I praised and milked it.

Haha, really? So botanist tend to fall for it more often? That is pretty weird as I would have assume they know the in and outs (and therefore the tricks as well) of plants.

I thnk he feed and played with it alot because he is Quite the "green thumb".
I think he took the bait and got eaten because he is Brave.

Yes, what you've said sounds logical.
Though falling for the cake bait twice sounds more something for a Green Dumb, if you ask me. :)

Anybody knows when this Cow Plant is for sale on his own?

I started a new game in Sunset Valley and I'm slowly populating all the townies home lots with at least one. The Landgrabbs have two and their cow plants spit out both an adult Malcolm and his Dad.  I really wanted Nancy to be a snack. I think when I get to the Alto's house there will be several plants placed there..

Is there also a change that sims can get the cake and run away with it? I wonder what moodlet they will get from it.

I have never SEEN anyone get away with the cake. Maybe they can, that would be epic!  They would have a  "+50 stole the cake"  moodlet, and Klepto's and Dare-Devils would be good at it.

That's something to try, using a dare devil or thief. So far I haven't seen anyone take the cake and get away with it.  I haven't seen any real pattern for who the plant will eat and who it will reject. I've had traits like eco-friendly rejected with a message that because you're eco-friendly the plant won't eat you....for now. Then they would get swallowed later.  Other Sims who had regular, every day traits were rejected as disgusting.

I can say the milk wiped out all aging days for a young adult Sim. There was a Sim that was going to age up to adult the next day, she drank the milk and went back to the beginning of YA.

The cow plant would be great for a type of immortal legacy story.

I have to add in case it is unclear...None of what I wrote above is founded or even possibly true. It is all my imagination of how great it would be.

Ok, am I weird or something or do other people dream about Sims stuff?  Last night it was the Cow Plant.  I was ticked at my husband, (in my dream not rl), and tricked him into coming close to the CP.  Of course he reached for the cake and the plant ate him. bwahahahaha   I had variations of cow plant dreams all night long.  No wonder I woke up tired!

S'risly though, what do you feed it besides unwanted or unwary Sims?
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!
