Store will not load.

Now I'm annoyed... I got 4000 Sim points (for Christmas) and prepared to go on my Shopping Spree, but barely anything will load on the store. Can't go to a specific item, can't go look at a world (I wanted to get Hidden Springs), can't look at anything pretty much! I sent something to EA Help 3 days ago, and they said they would reply in less than 24 hours but didn't.

Anyone have an idea about what's going on?

The most likely reason is that there are too many people trying to access the store right now because a lot of people most likely got simpoints. Just wait a little bit and it should be fine.

Yeah, but this was happening December 23rd. 
There shouldn't have been that much people.

All I can add is, The store has been being a real pain lately. 
Just remember It's not you, It's the store. Don't get so mad you throw your computer out the window.
I also found they aren't to interested with answering your tech help e-mails.
I'll stop before I say mean things now.

This is happening to the iTunes store for some people too so it's not just the sims store.

I tried going into the Store (while logged out), and I could access Hidden Springs. I don't have the SimPoints to buy it though, so I can't confirm much.

That does prove something. I go there (not logged in) it works. I log on immediately, and it says it can't load.
That means it has something to do with being logged in.

Same here. I got the same error message when trying to view that Dojo double bed.

EDIT: I'm using Google Chrome when I view it. I switched to IE8, logged in to thesims3.com, tried to get to Hidden Springs, and it showed up. I guess it's a browser issue?

Odd. It still doesn't work for me. Maybe it's because my IE isn't updated to 8? I use FireFox, so that would mean that IE most likely isn't recent.

The store isn't loading for me either.. I was able to buy simpoints though!
I keep getting the page that says: "Be Right Back! Our site appears to be down right now. Don’t worry, we have one of our best people working on it." I wanted to go on a shopping spree too

The store is very slow for me, and the I can't get on the Daily Deal page (it comes up with the sorry message and the geeky-looking sim). I've managed to buy a couple of hairstyles today though.

All I can do on the Store is look at my Wishlist and Purchase History. I think I can use the quick view. Other than that nothing. I have to change my language to English - US just to see Gift Messages. That site is rubbish really and they spend more time adding to it than fixing it.

It looks like they are making changes in the store this week (how to access the sets...). So this is maybe the simple explanation for down times.

But I agree with you, before adding more fluff around their games/sites, they should invest decent money in fixing them ;-)

There's definitely something going on with the Sims 3 site.  It's been down for maintenance and unavailable several times over the last few days.  Maybe it's a combination of problems on their end plus heavy holiday traffic.  It'll get sorted out soon, I'm sure.

On a somewhat related note, is there a way to access my Wish List without having to do a search for it?  Seems like I should be able to get to it from my account somehow, but I don't see it.  I'm finding it very annoying because when I search for it and then edit it, the removed items come right back the next time I log in.
