Disk Authorization failure: Only after Pets update

Hey guys, it's been awhile!
So, I haven't been on the sims lately, so I went to play it yesterday. I did some research about the update before I installed it, but now I have a problem.  I'm getting the Disk Authorization Failure each and every time I open the game to the menu! I've tried restarting and cleaning my disk, but no dice. I tried googling solutions, but I haven't found anything quite the same. I am using a Mac, and I have some cc that I got off the exchange, but I try not to use them in game and I haven't gotten any new ones since the beginning of the year, so I don't think thats the problem.

No, and I would take one, but I've never figured out how to get those onto photobucket. Do you know how?

Yes. Are you registered on Photobucket?

Yes. After I take the picture, it comes up as a file on my screensaver with a file name like: Screenshot (date and time)

Okay.

Log into Photobucket.
Click the green upload button toward the top.
Click "Select Photos and Videos"
Go to where the picture is saved. Select it and press "Okay".
Wait for the picture to upload.
Click "View Album".
Find your picture and hover over it. Click on the text box next to "IMG code".
Now come to the forum and paste the code into a post. It will look like this:

[IMG]http://number.photobucket.com/albums/number/username/image file name[/IMG]I have replaced numbers with "number", usernames with "username" and filenames with "image file name".

I already know how to upload them, the problem is that I can't find them when I am choosing the file.

Sorry. After using Print Screen, paste it into a graphics program like MS Paint, then save it to the desktop or some other easy to find location. Then upload it to Photobucket.

Since I'm using a mac, I don't think it's the same concept, but I'll see if I can figure it out.

Even without a screenshot, this sounds like a pretty serious issue.  A complete re-install of the game will probably fix the problem.  You'd need to be sure to back up your files first if you don't want to lose your saved games.  We have topics on the Technical Help board to help you through it.  You might first have some luck doing a factory reset, as well.  If all of this fails, you'll likely have to contact Electronic Arts for help.

I had this a few months back, although I'm not on a Mac - I'm on a Windows Vista laptop - and I fixed it with a complete reinstall, as Pam suggested. Hope it works out, Simlish.

Ok, did a factory reset, and I'm working on getting all my store items downloaded back, and then I'll see if it worked!
