Get unicorns: the easy way

So you really really want unicorn, but it's so hard to befriend the animal(s). No problem: there's an easy shortcut.

Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + C and type in "testingcheatsenabled on"
Step 2: Find the unicorn (hint: look for the aurora)
Step 3: Press Shift and click on the unicorn. Select "Add to active household".
You are done.

Warning: trying to get unicorns can be seriously addicting.
Note: you can only have six unicorns per household.

I edited the subject of your post because this isn't really a guide.  It's actually a cheat and I don't want it to be misleading.

If you really want a unicorn - any unicorn - you could download one from the Sims 3 Exchange. But befriending a Unicorn is really a satisfying challenge to complete.

That's what I will do when I get a new household. Cheating is too tempting the first time.
