Chapter 19: Birthday Surprise

She loved horses. It was one thing that was completely obvious about Sophie. From cowboy boots to a horse themed room, we knew she was going to want a real horse someday.


Everyday from school she would race through the house into the backyard and jump on her bouncy horse. It was hilarious to watch that's for sure.

So a few days before her birthday, Don and I went to the local horse shelter and picked out the perfect present...An American Quarter foal!

When the horse trailer pulled up, we told Sophie there was someone at the door for her. When she opened the door she about passed out!

She raced to the horse, and began to talk to it..Not really sure what the horse was doing though..


She decided to name the horse "Mika". She assumed the responsibility of the daily care of Mika too, her favorite part was being able to feed Mika with a bottle.


The two became fast friends, they always loved to run around and chase each other.


Soon enough it was time for her to grow into a teen.


Here she is!


I decided to host a huge birthday party for everyone, Sophie had a fantastic time. Obviously.


Here's one last picture of her with Mika, this was the moment they became best friends.

Thanks! I love Mika and the horses in game! As for real life, they sort of scare me a little bit not going to lie.. But I'm sure if I was around them more I wouldn't be.

Thanks! Yeah they had gotten Mika a few days before her birthday so she would grow up around the same time Sophie became a teen.
