Ch. 3: Everybody's Getting OlderMalcolm is quite the Daddy's boy. Or maybe, Carl just can't let go of his son. And who could blame him?
Carl makes sure to help teach Malcolm his toddler skills.
And now that Malcolm and Carmen are both toddlers, they've started to interact more. Here they are playing with blocks. Or at least Malcolm is playing with blocks. I think Carmen is just showing off.
Maya's birthday snuck up on the household. Or maybe it just snuck up on me.
The next morning, Maya spends some quality time with Malcolm. She bought herself a nice new robe, designed by the famous Gheez.
It's nearly nighttime when Maya realizes that it's Carmen's birthday. She quickly scoops her up and rushes her downstairs just in time to blow out the candles.
Carmen is turning out to be a very pretty girl. She gains the trait Family-Oriented.
Carl has maxed the Athletic skill and he has only a couple levels left in Logic before he reaches his LTW. I think he's looking at New Star #19 right now.
Maya works on making beautiful and expensive--but mostly expensive--paintings to hang around the home. Perhaps this painting of ninjas will turn out to be a Masterpiece? Or maybe not.
Carmen works hard to get on the honor role. I can never make children get on the honor role until just a couple days before they age up, even though they do all their homework and work hard everyday at school. I get really nervous about making sure the kids get on honor role before they age up to teen.
Malcolm likes to spend time in the toy box.
Carmen brings a friend home from school one day. Her name is Sadie... something. I forgot her last name, oops! Carmen sure looks frustrated. I bet she could use a friend to help her with her homework.
Carl decides to make a call to work. He's made some bank over the past couple weeks and he needs to spend time working on his LTW, so he decides to finally retire. He now receives a stipend of 330 simoleans per day. I guess that'll at least cover the maid's wages.
Malcolm has his birthday immediately afterwards.
He's a little tubby. I find that odd since neither parent is. His new trait is Friendly.
Malcolm and Carmen spend some time outside on the new seesaw.
Carl and Maya spend some time outside in the new hot tub.
Carmen
barely makes it on the honor role. Her birthday is on a Sunday and she came home Friday afternoon on the honor role. With that narrowly covered, she has a happy birthday.
Carmen really is looking lovely. Her eyes are a little small, though.
Her new trait is Savvy Sculptor. I bet you can guess what her SuperMax Skill will be!
