Dagnabbit! CAW is incompatible again.

To fix the problem you will need to follow the instructions on this page:
http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help_Talk:Patch_Table

I can confirm that the info in this image is up to date and works
http://simswiki.info/images/2/27/Caw_workaround.png

I downloaded latest CAW and it did patch up the previous version, so it is now compatible. You probably tried before they put latest CAW version up, but I can confirm it is working without any workarounds.

Did the update put the pet spawners in CAW?

No, but there are fantasy trees. You can get pet spawners on lots in buydebug, while in Edit in Game, but not in open world. Small animals will appear anyway near other spawners, mostly near special seeds and rare bugs, as I noticed so far.

I haven't updated yet... I heard about the featured items and how the can mess up the game... I would like bugs fixed, but I guess I'll wait a bit longer.

The featured items won't even show in your game if you disable the store through the options menu. You really don't need to worry about them.

Thanks for letting me know. I will update my game and disable the store and then see for myself how the patch works with my game.

I'm currently loading my test on 1.29.  I don't let Sims 3 through my firewall to connect to the internet, so I should be ok for the 'featured item' crashes, (can I add that I -really- don't like the 'featured item' idea?), and I can make sure I turn off Shop Mode first.

I'm actually hoping this fixes things!  (And right now my Omni-Plants are growing deathfish, so it's really weird not to see the deathfish on the Onmi-plant!  That will be a nice fix. :) )

Does anyone know if this patch fixed some of the broken photography skill stuff?

@Serena

I don't care much for the features items idea either. Turning off shop mode will definitely disable it, and I bet not letting Sim 3 have internet access will do the exact same thing. I'm not sure about photography. I know that for me, a new game post-patch can take photographs just fine, but I haven't tried using photography in pre-patch games yet.

I think Patch 1.26 fixed that. I don't play photographers often, so I never experienced any glitches, so I don't know for certain if it's fixed.

I'm pretty sure Seabody's right. My Dynasty had a Photography Bug but after a Patch (not sure which one) my sim could take photos.

So I finished updating to 1.29.

A few weird glitches:  All the produce was gone from my Gardener's inventory. (which is a real pain, but most stuff was still in her garden.)

The produce (including meat), but not the fish, were gone from the Fridge (it's the Fridge you get when you cap out the Culinary Career); but my Lvl 10 chief could still make meals as though the fridge was fully stocked.

So nothing -too- devastating, but the loss of all the perfect seeds is a pain. And the Fridge thing works in my favour, I guess! :D

Edit: Ok, that was a mod bugging up under the new patch, and me being dumb.  The mod has since been removed.  :-[

So, no major glitches for 1.29 for me, and  Fish are now visible again!  :)

Haven't tried traveling yet.  I'll see what happens.

I'm pretty sure Seabody's right. My Dynasty had a Photography Bug but after a Patch (not sure which one) my sim could take photos.

I haven't been able to take photographs with my Dynasty family since a couple patches back. One patch only let me take them on vacation and then in the next patch, I couldn't at all. I'll definitely check on my Dynasty and let everyone know what I find.

I'm intrigued by "•An issue that caused Sims to go invisible when traveling to a Vacation world has been fixed ." - and kind of frightened that I have to ask "Which one?"

Well, it fixed it for me.  :D  My traveling broke after 1.22; and I just finished testing; sending a sim to France, which worked just fine.

I'll be -so- happy to travel in my Dynasty again!  (Wow, I'm absurdly happy about this. . . )
