Sims FreePlay
« on: December 07, 2011, 11:46:02 PM »
Not sure what this is or if it might be something that will tie in with Showtime (the sharing bit?) when it comes out. I get EA feeds through FaceBook and I got a link to this today. I've liked it, not sure what the secret surprise will be for the first 1000 to like it. :-\

edit Actually looks more like a mobile device version.. one of the links goes to the iTunes store (which I haven't got installed on this computer)
and only available in Canada, Singapore and Thailand.

Nice find! It really doesn't look half bad, and I can only imagine it on a glossy iPad screen. It's pretty smart of them, really. It can serve as a Sims demo to people who wouldn't go out and buy the PC version, and I'm sure plenty of them will move over to our side of the fence. It will probably be harder for PC players to enjoy. We can only move forward from here.

Okay so I got this today and it is very very mcih like sims. It has pets and probably a ton of stuff I haven't seen yet. Overall, so far it is great for an app.

I got it yesterday and I'm still not sure about it. It is very much like a Sims app I had on my phone a while back. I stopped playing that one because I couldn't see it properly to enjoy it. I think for anyone who has never played Sims before, it would be ideal, but for us veterans of the game, I think it's just a little bit limited. Having said that though, I am still playing it on the iPad when I get a few minutes (which is all I seem to get for games the last week or so) I do know that I will not be spending real money in game, I can't see me loving it that much. If I'm going to be spending money it will be on SimPoints to buy things for my real Simmies!

I tried it out.  I wouldn't say that it's fun, but it is addicting.  It seems like the most efficient way to earn XP is to have your sims sleep round the clock!

I downloaded it. It's cool but I hate having to wait around to get them to do simple things like take a shower for an actual 30 minutes. Where's the fast forward button? Haha

I'm still playing it. I have 6 Sims now and should get number 7 today. I don't like how the price of houses (therefore extra Sims) goes up each time you buy one and I'm not fussed on the things happening in real time. I'm slowly progressing, but I keep missing them having to go to work so they are not getting far in that respect. It might be different if I carried the iPad around with me all the time but I just don't do that.
