I've just had too many problems with Origin. My pre-orders have been screwed up and I've had major problems with digital downloads.  I stick with Amazon on pre-orders.  For me they have always gotten it right.

There's a Q&A with one of the Sims 3 producers on the official forum. I've tried getting a link to it, but haven't succeeded. If you look under Showtime, it's right there.

Anyway, they're not revealing the new creature yet, but there's more info on SimPort. Also, you'll be able to play the guitar with some of the songs. There's more detail about the various careers.

I think what you're talking about is the live chat scheduled for January 26.  There's no link to it yet because it hasn't happened.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but there has been an announcement on the official site about the changes coming to the 'My Page' feature on the official site with Showtime. The social features.

It's the one currently at the top, entitled 'ANNOUNCEMENT: Changes Coming to the My Page'.

Basically, you get to share stuff about what your sims have been up to on the My Page, just as if your sim has Facebook and they are updating their own status, lol. You can also choose to connect with Facebook and Twitter and share the stuff there too, but all of it is optional.

I read this and I especially love how the challenges/achievements are going to only be available to those registered on the Sims 3 site because it'll make it a lot harder for people that have the game illegally to enjoy Showtime! Good thinking, EA!

Hmm, I am very tempted to pre-order this expansion. But I'm still on the fence because when I got late night I was so excited but now I barely even use any of the clubs and such because it takes my sims SO long to do anything.

Do you have a link to where you read this information? Even if it's a rumor, I'd like to read more about it.

It isn't a rumor, it's on the official forums, they have at least 3 screenshot with one show genies will glow. Beta testers leaked it so it is highly likely that it's true. I can't place a link because I'm mobile right now.

I'm sure that one will get pulled, too.  Beta testers aren't supposed to leak this stuff and I'm sure EA is unhappy about it.

You don't know that its a genie, it could just be a  blue Sim with cool clothes.. granted it looks like a genie, but whats to say a genie looks like the one from Aladdin?

If that rumour is true then it's not a feature that will make me buy the game. Why do people have to leak this stuff, it's annnoying and unfair on EA who may still be working on stuff that is yet to change and these leaks make people expect certain things and then be disappointed when the features leaked get pulled or something.
