I remember when I was watching the live chat that one of the developers said that the new props could double as furniture. Probably not what you're looking for though.

But I just pre-ordered the limited edition one! I am super excited to get it!! I can finally make my sister and me correctly, since she is the singer of the family. I also want to try moonlighting as a DJ. That sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

Wow.  This site really pulled out all the stops explaining Showtime and now I know everything I could possibly want to know about the EP.  Thanks for sharing!  Now if only I could decide if I want the physical copy or if I want to save $5 and try my luck with the digital...

Just a big heads up on the fact that Game Stores in the United Kingdom have cancelled all Pre-Orders of Showtime, rumoured to be over a disagreement with EA Games, as other games are not being stocked here. Looks like I'll have to order from Amazon, for the same price as the order I placed with Game. I ordered on Monday Evening and by Thursday they had announced they were not stocking it and were cancelling my order.

Is Game the only retailer you can buy from? I wonder if it will affect the Aussie branch of Game too.. not that it really concerns me, I pre-order from EB Games, but there are 4 stores in my local mall that will stock the game anyway (including a Game store)

Oh no, See this Link for more Stores that are stocking Sims 3 Showtime in the United Kingdom and Ireland. I think it's only European GAME, I'm not sure though. I'll get it through Amazon probably. I just prefer GAME over Amazon,s imply because I don't like Amazon.co.uk's Website, Lol.

I'm getting mine from JB Hi-Fi and I chose them as they usually are cheaper than EB Games.

According to the above article at SimsVip (and their source Urbania Sims), there will be no new skills. There are some hidden skills associated with new objects, though, such as a non-visible DJ booth skill. The three new careers mainly require performances to advance from what I can recall.
