How to add community places in Edit Town
« on: December 02, 2011, 11:59:55 PM »
In Edit Town, it won't let me add community places.  Why?
May all your days bring joy and happiness

First of all, welcome to the forums!  ;D Secondly, you need to check and make sure the empty lot is marked for community buildings. Than it should let you place them if they are the correct size as well. Good luck!

Hi rozzie.

After reading the Guide as Twinmum suggested, if you're still having trouble, please give us more detailed information.  Exactly what are you trying to do and exactly what happens?

I have the same question as to how to do this. I added an empty lot 50x50 in size set it community visitors allowed and tried add "The Erutuf Future Lounge" to the empty lot, but I can't see my empty lot and it doesn't add the Lounge as far as I can tell.

Would someone be able to help me with this?

Btw I am trying to add more community lots to Moonlight Falls at this point.

Have you tried setting it as 'no visitors allowed' I have found that most lots can be placed on that, and that they change the designation upon placement to whatever fits the lot type.

I will try with "no visitors allowed" and then see what happens

Ahh  I see that the lot I want to add is 60x60 and the lot size I had set up is 50x50, problem I am having now is finding a place where I can add a  64x64 empty lot.

I think I really hate the world editor.

 Any one have suggestions?

lordtyger9 said they were adding lots in Moonlight Falls.

As to the question on where to put lots there, I have no idea :-[

I don't have a good idea either. But maybe you could bulldoze some other empty lots and place a bigger one there instead? You could also bulldoze one of the big parks.
