Pets Questions
« on: December 01, 2011, 08:11:50 PM »
I am getting Pets VERY soon; by Monday I'll have it!

I have a few questions:

1. Is there an ice cream truck? I was reading a favorite blog of mine and it showed the sim buying something from a truck (not a food truck)

2. Any new clothes, hair, and non pets related furnishings?

3. Any hair/clothes for kids and toddlers? In LN I was very disappointed that there were no new things for children/toddlers.

4. What are the new LTW's? I heard about two: Noah's Ark (something like getting 2 dogs, cats, etc) and adopt a unicorn. Anything else? I was sad when Generations had no LTW's.

5. Any new jobs, or is it just the new horse races and studs?

6. Is the new town nice? Is there lots of empty lots?

7. Can you make a baby in CAP? If not, can I adopt one, and at what price?

8. Any other new features?

9. Can pets travel with you?

Thank you guys so much! I have read the posts about answering questions, but mine either weren't on there or not helpful enough. I just made back-ups of all my saves, CC, and music into a folder so I'm good to go! :)

Also, is there any MAJOR bugs? My game usually has 0 bugs for some reason. I know about travel bugs, and I haven't had those at all. I'm talking about annoying/frequent/file-deleting bugs. Thank you!

Here are answers to a few of your questions:

1.  Yes, there is an ice cream truck.  And Sims get a nice moodlet from eating ice cream.

2.  There are new clothes and hair.  I think some of the clothes are quite nice.  I'm not sure about new things for kids and toddlers as I haven't played any children recently.

3.  And I think the new town is very attractive.  To me, it's one of the nicest ones.

I'll let someone else tackle the other questions.

In question number seven, do you mean Sim babies or animal babies? You cannot make either one. You can adopt both for free. :D

9.  No, pets can't travel with you but you can find minor pets in China, France, and Egypt.  My sims haven't tried to befriend one, but I would assume it is possible to do so while you are traveling.

I like the new town, Appaloosa Plains, very much.  It's got kind of a Rocky Mountain foothills, Colorado/Montana/Wyoming feel to it.  There are a number of empty lots and also some decent affordable starter houses.

You can't actually make baby pets in CAP, but like in CAS, you can use two adults to make an adult offspring using their genetics.

There is a new horse racing profession, but I haven't tried it out.

There is non-pet related stuff.  There are lots of new walls meant to be barn walls that look nice in house interiors, too.  There's a super cute couch made from a wagon wheel.  Most of the stuff is related to cowboys if not actually pets.

For LTWs, there's also Animal Rescuer (adopt 6 pets), Zoologist (collect 20 minor pets) and Cat Herder.  There are probably a couple more I'm forgetting.

9. Can pets travel with you?

1. Yes, but there aren't many options.
2. Yes, several of each, plenty of furnishings.
3. I'm pretty sure there are.
4. They're on the guide.
5. Horseman, which is really racing.
6. Yes it is, there's quite a few empty lots, and it has a country feel to it.
7. No, you can only adopt one. The options in CAP are Adult and Elder.
8. Yes, like Plastic Surgery, Racing, Pets (duh!), and more.
9. I honestly haven't tried that, though my guess would be no, simply because I believe Horses don't like flying.

You don't have to race to do the Horseman profession.  Selling horses at the equestrian centre counts toward that as well.
